Amaretto
Glossary of Terms
Amaretto is an Italian liqueur which has a sweet, almond flavour. It's made from a base of either or both apricots or almond pits and is often enhanced with sweeteners to counteract the bitterness. Amaretto is commonly served on the rocks, in cocktails (including the Godfather and Cuban Breeze) or use in cooking, mainly in desserts. Popular Amaretto brands include Disaronno Originale and Lazzaroni Amaretto.
