Balthazar

Glossary of Terms

A Balthazar is a very large wine and champagne bottle which has a capacity of 12 litres, the equivalent of 16 standard 75cl bottles. The Balthazar size bottle is named after the king of Babylon, son of Nabonide, 539BC, known better as Belshazzar.
