Bar Measure

Glossary of Terms

A bar measure is a device or container which measures a serving of alcohol, such as a jigger, thimble measure or spirit measure (such as an Optic Pearl Measure). Most bar measures are CE marked to ensure their accuracy and for use in licensed establishments in the UK. Bar measures are most commonly used for serving 'shots' of spirits and liqueurs, with common UK measures being 25ml, 35ml, 50ml and 70ml.
