Club Soda

Glossary of Terms

Club soda is carbonated water and is also commonly known as soda water, sparkling water, fizzy water or seltzer. It is produced by dissolving carbon dioxide gas into water, a process known as carbonation. Club soda can be drunk plain, mixed with fruit juice or used with alcoholic beverages as a mixer for cocktails, such as whiskey, brandy and vermouth. A soda siphon (also known as syphon) can also be used to produce club soda.
