A French Cocktail Shaker is a 2 piece cocktail shaker consisting of a stainless steel tin, usually 20oz, similar to a Boston Cocktail Tin, and a second stainless steel tin that is shaped for easy grip.

The cobbler cocktail shaker was developed from the shape of the French cocktail shaker, whereby the top of the second tin was replaced with a strainer and a lid.

A French Cocktail Shaker must be used with a cocktail strainer to filter out any solid ingredients.
