Grappa

Glossary of Terms

Grappa is distilled from pomace, the remains of grapes left over after the grapes have been pressed to make wine. To be called Grappa it must be produced in an Italian region, produced from pomace and the fermentation and distillation must occur on the pomace. Grappa is often aromatic and its flavour varies depending on the variety of grape used.
