An ice cube tray is a tray with moulded shallow compartments which are filled with water and placed in a freezer until the water freezes into ice and produces ice cubes. Ice trays are usually made from plastic or silicone and are often flexible to help make the removal of ice easier. Traditional ice cube trays make rectangular ice cubes, while many novelty styles are also available.
