Lager

Glossary of Terms

Lager is a type of beer which has been bottom-fermented and conditioned at low temperatures and is aged for longer than ale to produce a lighter flavour and colour. The most popular varieties of lager is pilsner, which is a light coloured, dry lager and traditionally brewed in Pilsen, Czech Republic and bock, a strong, dark amber, full-bodied and malty lager.
