Liqueur

Glossary of Terms

A liqueur is an alcoholic beverage that has been sweetened with sugar and is usually flavoured with fruit, herbs, nuts, spices, flowers or cream. Liqueurs tend to be quite sweet and have lower alcohol content than spirits. More often than not they are drunk neat, but may also be used in cocktails and layered drinks.
