Poker Dice Chips 500 Pieces

Good Deal, Good Set, but a little scruffy...

"This set was ordered on Monday night and it arrived in the morning on Thursday so the delivery time was good. Email updates were sent at each stage and the parcel could be tracked ensuring I would be aware of any delays that might have occured (which didn't in this case).

The case was the aluminium one which I prefer, although people should note it contains the foam black inlay rather than the green one which some might be looking for for originality. It generally was in an excellent condition with only very minor scuffs on it, but the item was packaged well with lots of padding so it all comes down to the delivery courier.

The cards, counters and dice were all top notch. The cards in particular feel very solid and are 100% plastic rather than the plastic coated ones which bend and scuff too easily.

Being able to customise the chips is a great idea, however I was expecting all the chips to be shiny and new-looking or at least bright coloured. The darker chips (red, blue and brown in my case) looked great, clean, new the works. The lighter ones though seemed more dull in colour and fairly dirty/scruffy (white, yellow and orange) maybe because they were the last in a particular batch or kept in a dusty area, not quite sure. My advice for others would be to focus more on darker colours.

Despite the aesthetic issues, the chips are quite chunky, feel solid and make a good sound when they are chucked around when playing. They feel good when you're attempting to do finger tricks with them.....and failing! :P

All in all though for the price it's a great set and the slightly dirty chips aren't the end of the world, particularly if anyone knows a safe way to clean them without damaging/discolouring them. 4 out of 5 stars for the slight disclouration/foam inlay differences. The service was top notch and I'll be happy to continue buying from Drinkstuff in the future to kit out my upcoming new bachelor pad! :D"
