Customer Reviews
Lay Z Spa Vegas Hot Tub
"Fantastic Hot tub!!! Easy to assemble, very high quality material which shows when the water temp stays high within the spa when not being used. Would highly recommend!!"
Ryan Burt - Carmarthen, 4th June '21
Vegas hot tub
"Great service from Inflatable hot tubs. Good value, excellent ptoduct, arrived next day. Great service from courier DPD as usual."
A Howarth - Bedford, 29th August '17
Excellent
"This is a fantastic portable hot tub which has exceeded my expectations.
I was expecting a cheap and cheerful product but upon opening the boxes the quality really surprised me. Simple to set up and pack away, spares available should you need any, very easy to use with a nice touch control panel. We've had it 3 days now and I've already got my eye on the bigger model!
Stop reading the reviews now and just buy one!"
Matt Hooton - Northamptonshire, 24th February '16
Brilliant Service
"Ordered the spa on Wednesday, had it all set up my Friday in the conservatory. Our kids love it. Just as good as any of the fixed tubs. Plan to use outside in the summer and in a unheated conservatory in the winter. Concerned though that temp could drop in conservatory over the winter. Could any advise if an insulated jacket would protect the pump?"
Ali - Plymouth, 20th November '15
Drinkstuff says: We would not advise using an insulated jacked but would recommend you remove the pump and store it in a warmer room if temperatures do drop. This would prolong the lifetime of your Lay Z Spa pump and ensure no damage is caused.
"Good morning,
just to say we love the Lay Z Spa Vegas which we purchased 4 weeks ago.
I put a photo on face book which I have attached and because of that you have now sold 2 more Vegas spas and a Monaco spa.
I feel this warrants shares in the company!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers and looking forward to summer and thanks for a great product."
Mark Smyth, 11th June '15
Gives Me Pain Free Time From Fibromyalga
"Great service and product, have been in Lazy Spa every night since we got it. Simple to build and use, so relaxing."
Mrs Linda Ferguson - Angus, 23rd October '14
Perfect
"I've been after a hot tub for as long as I can remember but never liked the idea of spending 5 or 6k on something we may or may not use, We bought the layz spa to see if over a year we would make use of it. Up to now we have used this quite a lot.
It took us 4.5 hours to fill and then we left it over night heating, it was approx 30 degrees the next morning and by mid afternoon it was like a bath. Bubbles are a little noisy and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner when you switch them on, apart from that great product."
Paul B - Cheshire, 12th August '14
Great Product & Service
"Very pleased with the product, the service was prompt and very efficient and I will definitely recommend you! Never knew I had so many friends... they are all coming round!"
Allison McQueen-Luzar - High Wycombe, 25th June '14
Simple Luxury
"Brilliant item, as another review I read, I originally ordered this from another store but was disappointed when it did not arrive and found it was not in stock. I immediately ordered from drinkstuff and it was dispatched the same day. Unfortunately I did not get the next day delivery I paid for, but that is the fault of the courier (drinkstuff immediately refunded my whole postage cost).
The layz spa was definitely worth the wait. So simple to put up and the next morning it was 38 degrees. I have been in proper hot tubs, and this is just as good at a fraction of the price, and I can put it away when I'm not using it, brilliant.
Very impressed with service from drinkstuff."
Eleanor - Northampton, 11th March '14
Well Pleased
"I first tried to buy the lay z spa from a high street store, they had a special offer but it turned out they were out of stock. I then located the manufacturer direct from Google and managed to order it from them. It was not at the specials discounted price as the store but I still went ahead and bought it for over £100 more. I paid for next day delivery and it came on time. Setting up was easy, as was filling with water. It's been so hot lately that my sons couldn't help but jump in, the bubbles are great! My only gripe is that the chemicals and how to administer them are quite complicated for me. I still don't understand how to use them do we are just playing in normal water and I empty it every 2 days and put fresh water in."
Ahmet Basturk - Essex, 17th July '13
Layzspa Vegas Series 4 (4 persons)
"Our order arrived on time and just in advance of the short summer we had over bank holiday weekend at the beginning of May 2013. It was a bit trial and error to get the chemical balance just right but once immersed in 40 degrees of warmth with the sun beating down on us it was all worth it. A fabulous purchase. Used for 2 couples one evening, my daughter and her 10 year old friends the next day and then my husband and I the following day. All in all a brilliant product and well worth the money. It's all packed away in the garage waiting for the next sunny spell (we may be waiting a while!!)"
Katrina Latimer - Newcastle upon Tyne, 16th May '13
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Katrina. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your drinkstuff account, which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.

A Little Complicated To Understand
"Worked it out in the end but was a little complicated."
Louisa Adams - Dorchester, 23rd August '12

"Amazing buy.
The kids love it and it seems to be so robust... so far :)"

Fantastic Product & Customer Service
"Decided to get another spa after owning one for 3 years but which had stopped working. Searched around for the cheapest price on the internet and drinkstuff had the best offer by far. Decided to go for a Lay Z Spa this time and was not disappointed! Ordered it on Friday for delivery Monday and it came within the time slot given which was sent via email & tracking. Set it up which was fairly straightforward having had one before. Unfortunately however when I pressed the heat button it cut out after 5 seconds and displayed an error code. I followed the advice on the instructions but still no joy so I called Bestway direct and got a very helpful man who went through it all with me again and then quickly realised that I had a faulty pump due to reset button being jammed in! He quickly offered to send me a replacement as soon as I emailed over my invoice, which I did immediately. Within 5 minutes an email was received saying one had been sent out on a 24 hour service along with a bonus filter pack! Now that's what I call customer service. drinkstuff also called me and they too were very helpful with this matter. So am looking forward to getting the spa up to temperature and jumping in! My kids love it and have housed it under a gazebo in the garden and know that it will get loads of use! If you're not sure whether to get one or not, definitely do, you will not be disappointed and drinkstuff & Bestway have the most fantastic customer service should anything go wrong!"
Diane - Leicestershire, 17th August '12
Lay Z Spa Premium 2012
"We ordered this last Monday 23rd. Received on Wednesday 25th July. Really pleased with this spa. Easy to set up, one and and half hours to fill and 8 to heat. Add your chlorine and away you go. Our grandchildren, 7 and 3, thought we were best grandparents ever for buying this. The jets are really powerful it is a bit noisy when they are on but we can put up with it. Best buy ever excellent service."
Lynn - Oxfordshire, 27th July '12
Quick question.
"We have just bought one of these (they're fab buy the way!) and we're thinking of putting it in a summer house. Does anyone have any ideas how we would drain it?"
Clare - Cambs, 3rd July '12
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comment. I can advise that the spa is supplied with a Hose Adapter which is used to drain the spa. Simply fit it to the spa and attach a hose. If you have any problems please feel free to contact us.
5 stars
"This is great. So easy to set up and great fun for all! If you're thinking about getting a Lay Z Spa, stop thinking and do it."
Stella Butcher - Near Cannington in Somerset, 11th June '12
5 stars
"Wow! Brill spa, up and working within hours. Good value for money and just as good as the more expensive hot tubs and spas. Excellent delivery time, arrived within 2 days of ordering."
Z Vaughan - Birmingham, 29th April '12
Base
"We are thinking of getting one of these hot tubs and want to put it on our patio which is slightly uneven.
Do you need to put something under the spa to protect it, and if so what do you suggest?
Thanks."
Sarah Hennessey - West Midlands, 21st April '12
Drinkstuff says: Hi Sarah, many thanks for your question. The Lay Z Spa does need to be placed on an even surface because of the sheer weight of the spa when filled with water. For more information, please see our Lay Z Spa Help & Support page, which includes downloadable user manuals and guides.
Lay Z Spa Series 3
"We have had our hot tub now for a couple of months and it's fantastic. It's in the conservatory for the winter months and will be outside on the patio for the summer.
It's the best thing I have bought for years and is used every day.
Brilliant!!!!!"
T Carter - Orpington, 6th December '11
Lay Z Spa
"We bought our Lay Z Spa having spent ages looking at pools for the kids. The Lay Z Spa is one of the best things I have bought, not just for the kids but for me and my husband as well. It was easy to set up, took 2 hours to fill then overnight to heat.
The next day the kids were in and they haven't been out of it since. They tend to play in it during the day, then we get in once they have gone to bed.
I have got into the habit of cleaning the filter each night, then adding the chemicals as necessary, I then switch it off overnight. The next day I switch it on and let it heat up before they get in again. I'm not sure if this is the most cost effective way of heating it? Our spa is undercover and I only heat it to 34 degrees. It only loses 4 degrees overnight, which takes a few hours to heat the following morning.
The chemicals in the Spa starter kit have been more than enough so far. I have checked the water daily, as the kids are bobbing up and down in it and so will need another pack of test sticks soon. I have also changed the filter weekly as we've used it so much. I think I'll get the tablet form chlorine next time so I can leave the floater in overnight.
Overall, a fab Spa, just as good as the expensive ones. Not sure what it's like on the electric, but it's saved me a fortune in entertaining the kids this summer holiday! Drinkstuff were great, ordered the spa on Sunday, delivered on Tuesday."
Natalie Jones - Bath, 17th August '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Natalie. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your drinkstuff account, which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.

Absolutely Brilliant! Best Buy For Years!
"We set up quite quickly make sure you align It all properly. We have had so much fun in it brilliant. Best buy for ages. Love it."
Clare - Brighton, 15th August '11
5 stars
"Just received our Lazy Spa, all set up filled and now heating up the water, can't wait to get in. lol.
Pump seems fairly noisy when jets are working, any ideas to reduce this?"
Mr D Bainbridge - Goole, 1st July '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your comments, unfortunately the pump is relatively noisy, this is common with all spas and jacuzzis. Some people choose to build housing for their pump, but the jets simply are a noisy funtion.
Simply Fantastic - Wish I'd Done Sooner
"I've been toying with the idea of buying a Lay-Z Spa for 18+ months and have even on three occasions had the order in the trolley but never committed to buy. I took a decision that it's the start of summer and I'll probably keep the spa up until October so will it definitely see a good four months of use (this year) - next year I'm hoping to get out early May and see through to October.

Took delivery (next day) which was fabulous service - ordered at 1pm and by 10am the next day there it was. It's very easy to setup, get a flat surface, pump up (very easy and quick), fill up with water (about 2 hours) to the black squiggly line and follow the instructions ensuring you bleed the air from the pump. It does take overnight to heat up fully - probably about 12 hours.

I've had the spa nearly three weeks and I tend to clean the filter every day under running water and add a small amount of chlorine (read instructions) every day. So far I've had only joy from this spa, my kids love it, family and friends have been round and they love it too. I'm going to get so much enjoyment out of this spa this year and hopefully many many years to come.

Any concerns for cat owners out there - I have two cats and thought they'd use my spa as a scratching post but fear not I have simply 'humanely' clipped the cats claws back slightly - I've done this twice now as they tend to need clipping every 14 days or so. I followed a video on YouTube showing how to do it so not to hurt the cat - it's just like clipping your own nails so please don't think I'm causing harm or pain to the cats.

Customer service from Bestway was fantastic too - I had a question I posted on their website that I've not read anywhere on-line, they called me back the next day (it was late at night I posted the question).

Great service by Drinkstuff in dispatching next day at a great price. All in all I am one very very happy Lay-Z Spa owner."
Mark Maguire - Wirral, 25th June '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your comments and your tips Mark. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your drinkstuff account which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.
Lay Z Spa Amazing
"Had our lay z spa for just over a year now and it's been the best buy ever. We use it most nights of the week. Running costs are quite good as well. Our heater failed this month and I was really gutted at first but I have just been able to fix it using a repair guide for sale on eBay to fix it. So it's happy days, If you are thinking of buying one then go for it :)"
Simon Jones - Manchester, 15th June '11
Excellent Spa Just Required New Lid System
"As soon as I saw this product I new I had to have one & I was not disappointed. Excellent Spa for the price. The only downside was that with regular use the zip on the lid becomes a challenge however great to see the new lid is a velcro attachment hence I intend to purchase complete new Spa. Also if you move/handle the pump you have to be gentle not to damage it which I did. Even after 18 months I'm buying a new one. Brilliant bit of kit for the price.
Many thanks, Andrew."
Andrew Wilson - Edinburgh, 27th May '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your comments Andrew. The new design lid is actually held in place with clips - this is the original design of the Lay Z Spa which has proven to be more successful than the zip lid.

"Lay z any afternoon until the grandchildren come round and want to come in as well. May have to get 2, one for them and one for me to have to myself."
Teresa Magness - Guildford Surrey, 16th May '11
2nd Spa
"Very good, great fun, the second spa first lasted 3 years. Biggest let down on safety was the top zip.
Now replaced with a clipped top and fantastic."
P Harris - Sussex, 13th April '11
Excellent Service And Lots Of Fun!
"Just wanted to say how pleased we were with the service we received when purchasing the Lay Z Spa Premium Series. The spa was delivered very quickly and the courier service who delivered it were excellent, we could track to the hour the delivery time which was really useful.
Now, onto the spa, this is the second spa we have had, the first being a different brand and we had this for 2 years and absolutely loved it. We were a little reluctant at first not to replace the spa with the same we had but after checking out prices and spec we have to admit we were swayed by the significant differences in the price of the Lay Z Spa so we opted for this.
When it arrived on Thursday we wasted no time in filling the spa and getting it heated up ready for use. The whole process was really easy. By Friday evening it was ready for use, it's absolutely fantastic, really hot and the bubbles are lovely and relaxing. The spa seemed to be bigger and more comfortable than our last one. The only thing we have noticed is that when the bubbles are on it is quite noisy, I think this is because it is a separate unit but really once you are in, you don't notice it. Looking forward to many relaxing evenings in the spa. Thanks for a great service."
Natalie Toner - Rhyl, 5th April '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Natalie. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your drinkstuff account which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.
"We bought our spa about 3 years ago and took it to our apartment in Spain and we have had so much fun, it has been great. We don't use the heater but it has been great as a plunge pool. Very comfortable and easy on the knees. It has now developed leaks so will buy the oval type for next summer. Looked at jacuzzis and his is far better value for money."
Kevin A Stephenson - Spain, 9th September '10
"The spa is very easy to set up and does warm up from first fill within 8 hours. There are some issues however: The zip design is very poor and very difficult to close, but the biggest issue for me is the noise that comes from the unit when the bubbles are running, it sound like a very loud vacuum cleaner! If you want to stay friendly with the neighbours then don't switch it on in the evening. My solution is to build and acoustic box around the unit."
Dr Keith Copeland MBE - Wolsingham, 10th August '10
Lay Z Spa Series 3
"We have had this for a month now and it has been brilliant, had our first big party and it went down a storm.
The picture is very misleading, it is bigger than you think, they must be kneeling to be sitting that high?
It gets up to temperature very easily, it really is like getting into a bath when it is at 40 degrees and the bubbles are fab.
The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the zip, it is a big pain, you have to do it very slowly or you could easily lose your rag with it and break it, so I do it, not the hubby!!
Apart from that, thoroughly recommend, it is well worth the money.
And the service from Drinkstuff was brilliant as well."
Rachael Wheeler - Oxfordshire, 31st July '10
Fantastic Product, We All Love It
"We have just recently purchased the Lay Z Spa; fantastic product, easy to set, up no problems. The heater heats up really quickly and hot, the bubbles are great, we all love it very much. Can't wait for the really hot weather, but at the moment we have it in a gazebo with sides on and when we go in at night and have all the fancy lights on it is so relaxing.
Why buy a £4000 hot tub when you can have this for £300? I don't know what else to say apart from I would recommend this to anyone wanting to buy one. The Bestway after sales team are so great as well and quick to respond."
Mathew Muir - Manchester, 8th July '10
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Matthew. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your Drinkstuff account, which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.
Great product with a couple of niggles
"Firstly, the spa has more room than I thought - it really does hold 4 normal sized adults comfortably. It's pretty easy to set up, is comfortable, and the bubbles are powerful and fun. No chemicals come with it, and we have found it hard to work out what chemicals we should use, and when, and in what quatities. It'll come with practice, but a sheet saying what is needed and when would be useful, as would a starter pack of chemicals, and as would more than one filter (you need to buy a dozen or so for one summer). Mats for underneath and for the perimeter are also a good idea (but not included).
BUT, having got the chemicals, bought more filters, bought some mats....the spa is great. To sit in it, sipping Pimms, watching the sun set is one of the great pleasures of life. At the price, it's worth every penny.
"
B Turner - North Devon, 18th June '10
Lay Z Spa
"An excellent transaction with very swift delivery. The spa is fantastic and we have used it pretty much every night since it arrived. Very easy to set up and install and very relaxing for the long summer evenings. Highly recommended to all."
Andrew Jackson - Fleet, 15th June '10
Noise
"Thinking of buying, how noisy is pump, and is possible to box pump in to reduce noise?"
Kevin McEntee - london, 14th June '10
Drinkstuff says: Hi Kevin, the pump does give off noise - the pump continually works to provide bubbles like any other spa. The people in our office who have used the Lay Z Spa agree that the noise is not too much and perhaps the best comparison would be like wind through trees. You can easily talk over the noise of the pump.
The pump needs to have air continually flowing to allow cooling, so we would not recommend boxing the pump in case it overheats.
What a Buy
"I bought the Lay Z Spa for my husbands 40th birthday, having not read the reviews first... after reading a lot of reviews online, faulty pumps was my main concern and low and behold I set the kit up according to the instructions and DVD, and the pump was leaking buttttttttt.... I called Bestway up straight away only 4 days after receiving and what a service. I called on Thursday and bearing in mind it was May bank holiday I received a new pump on the Tuesday and ever since we have never looked back.
I stress to look after this equipment, make sure you bleed after every clean of the filter (maybe previous buyers wouldn't have have gone through so many pumps) and it's very easy and useful to use the chemicals, which I also purchased from Drinkstuff.
I have only had this spa one week but what a relaxing week. We have never slept so good. On initial start up it takes around 10 hours to get to temp (36 is perfect for us) but after that it only drops a few degrees in eight hours hence warming up there after not so long.
Go on, indulge yourselves, and like anything you look after it it will last for years to come, that's what I am hoping anyways....
I did find it hard to get the stop plugs out, but I don't see it as a problem, an alternative to pliers which I have found useful is a rubber glove, it grips which I find that the metal in pliers could counterbalance the chemicals used. But I do agree that maybe butterfly wings put on the stop caps could be useful. Other than that, buy this product you won't be disappointed."

Brilliant Idea!
"I read a number of very negative reviews before I bought the tub - many of the reviews related to either ripped zips or unpredictable behaviour. We set out to treat the zip with respect and covered the pump unit to protect it from rain. The result (so far) is that the unit has performed perfectly. The idea is brilliant - we chose the Lay-Z-Spa because we were unsure how much use we would get out of a rigid spa costing £4000+ - it's a great way to 'get a toe in the water' without spending a huge amount of money and I can recommend it to anyone. Not only that but it's possible to move it around the garden to find the perfect spot without having to hire a team of men, or a crane!

The only downside I've found is that the caps which fit over the water inlets/outlets are very difficult to remove - I have to resort to a degreased pair of pliers in order to get a proper grip on them, to pull them off. A much better solution would be to mould a ring into the outer end of the caps to provide a means of twisting and pulling, even for people with large fingers. As an alternative, screw on caps with 'wings' on the bottom to provide a decent purchase would be good.

All in all - an excellent idea - the only reason I don't award 5 stars is because of the hassle capping off the outlets during a filter change."
Rae MacLeman - Peterborough, 7th June '10
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Rae. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your Drinkstuff account, which is equivalent to £5 off your next order - ideal for when you next need some spare Spa Filters.
Thinking
"Thinking of getting the premium XL. Rent a house without a deck or patio, what should I get to put under for support?"
Bryan Alexander - Indiana, 4th June '10
Drinkstuff says: Hi Bryan, the Lay Z Spa can easily be placed on a grass surface without the need for any support. For more information regarding the Lay Z Spas, please see our Lay Z Spa FAQ page.
Insulated Base
"In preparation of receiving my Lay-Z-Spa, I am going to make an insulated base for it out of polytherm and cover it with blue plastic sheet. I was going to make it disc shaped so it compliments the base of the spa, what is the diameter at the base please?"
Paul - Isle of Wight, 26th May '10
Drinkstuff says: Hi Paul, when inflated the Lay Z Spa diameter is 80" (203cm). The full dimensions can be found on the product page in the 'Details' section.
Lay Z Spa Premium
"What can I say, all round excellent service, the price is fantastic, the delivery was rapid and we have spent many hours relaxing in the spa!!!"
Daz - Blackpool, 26th May '10
Thinking of buying
"Does it come with a pump to inflate it? If not what sort of pump should I get?"
Kerry-Lee Wright - Norhtants, 23rd May '10
Drinkstuff says: Hi Kerry-Lee, yes the Lay Z Spa comes complete with its own pump, so you won't have to make any extra purchases. For more information regarding the Lay Z Spa, have a look at our Lay Z Spa FAQ page, or our Lay Z Spa Help & Support page.
"I'm thinking of buying one but want to know just how safe it is from electric shock?"
Ben - Harlow, 19th May '10
Drinkstuff says: The Lay Z Spa pump is fully insulated and waterproof against any issues like this, and it includes a Residual Current Device (RCD) which is a legal requirement for items such as this. We have never had any complaints regarding electric shock after selling for almost 4 years.

"My family have had our Lay Z Spa for 3 years; and it has been one of our better buys. Simple to maintain, inexpensive to run, totally relaxing and fun for all the family.
We had some teething issues, but the friendly telephone backup service have always solved any problems."
Paul Noble - Penzance, 10th May '10
Great Service Great Product
"Well what can I say, ordered late on a Friday night around 11pm and selected standard delivery, well it was delivered following Tuesday and I got email on Monday to tell me it had been shipped, and then on Tuesday I could track my delivery and got allocated an hour slot and delivery arrived 5 mins into my selected hour great service. I set product up and me and family have hardly been out of it since, never had a product so easy to set up and great product for all the family to use. I ordered from Drinkstuff after being let down by another supplier and was recommended to them by a friend. I would definitely recommend product and Drinkstuff to others."
Andy - Kent, 28th April '10
Lay-Z Spa
"Brilliant all round!
First class service; from an easy to use website, to use of a delivery company where I could track the expected delivery time (which was accurate), to the item itself.
I was worried that I'd be spending a good chunk of money on something that wouldn't live up to expectations. How wrong.
The Lay-Z Spa is simple to set up, and a joy to use! My family love it, and it's really popular with the kid's friends!!!
Brilliant. Thank you!"
Steve Eldred - Surrey, England, 27th April '10
Lay Z Spa 3 Premium
"This is my second spa - I had fantastic use from my Series 2 model and when it got damaged beyond repair I was happy to replace it. Overall I am happy with the new version also, It does not seem to get quite as hot, it seems a little shallower but still great value for money. My only gripe is the zip - its a design nightmare and a pain to use. No wonder there are so many reports of failure. Bring back the original clip system or make the zip much much bigger, smoother and stronger please."
Alan Pressley - Worksop, 12th April '10

"I bought the new Premium Series in Feb 2010 and it's great, I also bought some waterproof lights on eBay that stick to the floor, amazing in the dark.
All the issues with the old tubs seemed to have been straightened out with this bad boy, except one, it seems to be the most common fault with these tubs and that is the zip has broken. It's a rubbish design and really hard to zip up when you get out in the cold, but it doesn't have that issue now because it broke, so I just place it over and it still works.
One quick call to Drinkstuff and Chris said he will send Bestway my details and they will ring me. I found this tub cheaper elsewhere but bought off here because of the excellent after sales service.
I pondered for weeks whether to buy one, boy I'm so glad I did. Bring on the summer."
Martyn - South Wales, 23rd March '10
Best Thing I Have Ever Bought
"We love this spa, we bought a log cabin to put the spa in, so great privacy if we want it. It's so relaxing after a days work, I also had a spa and chocolate fountain party for my daughter's 13th birthday, they absolutely loved it. Easy to maintain."
Michaela Russell - Plymouth, 8th March '10
Happy as Larry!!!
"Thank you for the fast and efficient service that you provided last week. I bought the Lay-Z Spa after a visit to a friend's house and found that it was not only luxurious, but so cost friendly too!! All so easy, especially with the DVD instructions. Fabulous! Be sure to get more orders from my friends soon, cos this is too good to miss!"

"When we first started looking we wanted the XL Lay Z Spa, so glad it was out of stock! This one is a perfect fit in our garden. It was extremely easy to set up and was ready to use by the next day! My 4 year old son LOVES it, he wants to go in it all of the time. My sister has the XL and we thought that was warm, this one feels even hotter, my partner and I go in every evening and it is so relaxing, we have both slept so much better since we have been using this. We would absolutely recommend to anyone. Just be aware that the size in the picture looks deceiving!"
Jodie Slack - Portsmouth, 3rd October '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Jodie. To show our appreciation, we have added 5 drinkstuff credits to your account equivalent to £5 off your next order.
Lids not fit for purpose!
"The spa is absolutely fantastic apart from the lid. It just doesn't work! Had our spa delivered end of August; 10 days later the zip snapped. We had to hold lid down with house bricks. To get replacement everything had to be deflated and parts of lid cut out, photographed, dated an e-mailed to Bestways. To be fair they swiftly sent a replacement but after two days the zip has gone again. To compound my misery in the process of deflation and moving stuff around the patio, I have developed two holes in upper ring. Have repaired them but am not holding out much hope! Ultimately you get what you pay for, but these Series 3 lids are not fit for purpose. Deflated, from Worthing!"
Peter Kennard - Worthing, 8th September '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Peter. We're sorry that you are having trouble with the zip on the spa cover. We're not quite sure why Bestway changed the straps from the Series 2 to a zip on the Series 3. However, we must stress the importance of not over-inflating the spa and ensuring that the cover around the spa and over the lid are correctly aligned before attempting to zip the covers together.
Lay Z Spa 3
"I love the spa, it's great! However, the zip broke so I now have no way of sealing it."
Daryl Baker - West Sussex, 7th September '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Daryl. We are soon to add a range or spare parts for the Lay Z Spa Series 3. Check out our Lay Z Spa Spare Parts page for updates.
Lazy spar
"Having had the pool now for 2 years it is still a fantastic thing to have. The only trouble I now have is that, due to it being in a very sunny exposed spot, the lid straps have all snapped and the cover is showing signs of wear. Can I buy a new cover? The pump and liner is still great."
Jon Hughes - Penarth, South Wales, 5th September '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Jon. Unfortunately, we no longer stock spares for the series 1 and 2 Lay Z Spas. However, the covers for the series 3 will fit previous models. You would need to purchase both the top and bottom covers since the clips on the Series 3 have now changed to a zip.
Total weight when filled
"We would very much like to buy a lay z spa but would need to put it on a roof terrace. Do you have an idea of weight when filled? The roof terrace is pretty sturdy being constructed of a 6 inch layer of concrete."
Nigel - France, 27th July '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your question Nigel. The spa filled with water will weigh approximately 900Kg excluding the people sitting in the spa. For further answers similar questions, please see our Lay Z Spa Frequently Asked Questions.
Poor Quality & Aftersale but Good Fun
"For the first few weeks the spa worked fine without a problem. Then a couple of the straps began to fray and then snapped. Then the heater started to fail and eventually packed in completely. Ran through the procedures advised by Bestway and then began the process of a warranty claim. Told they weren't in stock and I would have to wait 3 weeks for a replacement. Then told in stock and now have to send back lids before warranty processed. Why that could not be done at the time of registering the issues I don't know! Overall verdict, good fun but pretty poor quality. Would not recommend to a friend, looking at replacing it now with something better."
Mark Gledhill - West Yorkshire, 25th July '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Mark. We're sorry that you have had a few faults with your spa. The quality of the spa is very good, especially at the price however from time to time there can be problems. As you can see from our other reviews, many of our customers have enjoyed the spa for many years. Since you ordered your Lay Z Spa, a new and improved version has been released; the Lay Z Spa Premium. The new spa has a zip as opposed to straps and the pump has had many of its parts replaced to improve durablility. Please accept our apologises on Bestway's behalf for not requesting the lids while you were waiting for the new stock to arrive.
Lay z spa
"I bought the Lay Z Spa for my wife's birthday. It's excellent and well worth the money once I get used to the chemicals and getting them balanced correctly!!! I'm sure I will get used to it. Excellent service from drinkstuff.com. Thank you."

"I don't usually leave comments but I just wanted to post my thoughts on this product and drinkstuff themselves - which is nothing but positive. I found drinkstuff through a link in google and from then on it was so quick, easy and efficient. The order process was really straightforward and the product arrived exactly when they said it would, in perfect condition too. I got my product delivered to my work address and the delivery driver even helped me take it down to my car - something I hadn't expected. As for the product itself, what can I say, it's great - perfect for when you've had a busy day at work and you want to relax with something chilled. It's great value and I'd highly recommend getting one. I'll definitely use drinkstuff again and I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone."
Nikki Reed - Reading, Berkshire, 21st July '09
Lay-Z-Spa
"I have had this product for 3 weeks now. It's good but should have shut off valves on unit as plastic caps are a pain to get off. It heats up to a good temp in 8hrs. Seats two with comfort but only four if you are really good friends. A good introduction to hot tubs at a fraction of the cost especially if you are unsure as to how much you will use it. The inflatable top cover does not form a full thermal break so heat loss from tub is quite high; watch your electricity meter spin when you have it on. The true cost of running this spa including water, electricity, chemicals etc is between £10 to £20 pounds per week at current prices, but still worth the money. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is good and delivery was spot on. Service was good. Well done Drinkstuff!"
Neil Monk - Essex, 18th July '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for comments Neil. The cost of running the Lay Z Spa is variable but it will always work out cheaper than running a fixed position hot tub. The cost obviously depends on the frequency of use and what chemicals you choose to use. The water will have to be replaced every 2 weeks, however improper chemical use will reduce the life of the water. When the water needs to be emptied, the Lay Z Spa features a hose attachment so that the water can be fed into a drain or used to water the garden. The life of the filters can also be extended by hosing them down when dirty.
BIRTHDAY PARTY FUN!
"Ordered the Lay z Spa in time to put it to use at my birthday BBQ bash and what can I say!!! It was a massive hit with both kids and adult kids alike! Ha Ha. Everyone at the party had a ball trying it out at various times throughout the evening and the water stayed as warm at the end as the beginning. Have used it several times since and thoroughly enjoying the experience of being outdoors overlooking the mountains where I live whilst surrounded with all the bubbles of the spa! As I type it's being heated up ready for my son's birthday party tomorrow. Get one if you can!!!"

"Very pleased with the service. I was worried recently that my Lay Z Spa was not heating but one of your customer service team contacted me the same day and sent a check guide and it's now working fine. This is my third year of owning the spa and I'm delighted."

"I love this! Infact, I did buy a secondhand one last year and was disappointed with it; it didn't work properly. I really really wanted one that did work, so I bit the bullet and went for it. What can I say? It's an absolute joy! It didn't take long to put together, fill it up but the most surprising thing was that the water was quickly up to a temperature that was comfortable. The only problem is the zip that goes around the lid is very hard to zip around but I have noticed that one of the zippers is in half, so the zip came off. But otherwise it's ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC! I would recommend to anyone. Don't just look and dream or buy secondhand, buy now and from drinkstuff; good service. I have bought before from them and it won't be the last time, as Arnie said "I'LL BE BACK!""

Luxury for less pennies
"I bought this product it was easy to install. I also purchased the spa treatment pack for keeping ph, chlorine and bacteria in check the fault that I can find is that it doesn't tell you when to review the chemicals like at initial outing. And it doesn't include a measuring container even a small plastic one would be a God send, hence the 4 or else I would have given it a 5.

No problems with it thus far (touch wood) but glorious in the hot weather and well worth the money. Would advise anyone to buy it."
Carol Dalrymple - Surrey, 8th July '09
Lay z boy spa
"The spa arrived the next day at lunchtime and by teatime I was in it! My plan was to buy this at the fraction of the cost of a 'real' hot tub to see if it would just be a fad and if not I would then lay out the money for a 'real' one next year. However I am now convinced that I will keep this one forever!!! Love it!"

Lazy spas are awesome

How often do it need to be plugged in?
"Hi, We are the verge of purchasing the Series 3 lay z spa, and we have just a few questions...

Does it need to be switched on constantly all day every day to experience it in full, or is it a case of switch on a few hours before and use it as and when required?

What are the running costs?

How important is it to use the chemical etc that are offered with this product? Is it easy to maintain?

If you would be kind enough to answer these questions, I would be grateful."
Clare Bell - Swansea, 18th June '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your questions Clare. The pump should be switched on approximately 10 hours before you intend to use it in order to get the water to full temperature. It is not recommend to leave the pump on constantly since doing so will reduce its life. Depending on usage, the Lay Z Spa will cost approximately £10 per month to run. The chemicals are not essential but the water will go green after just 2 days so we recommend that you use the chemicals to prolong the life of the water and at the same time, save water. The chemicals are easy to use and full instructions on quantities to use are included with the Lay Z Spa. For further frequently asked questions, please refer to our Lay Z Spa FAQ.
Lay Z Spa 2
"Great product and value for money!!! But the "RCD" UK mains plug assembled from brand new was in a dangerous condition; exposing bare live mains terminal wires,. I phoned drinkstuff.com for help being the product supplier and was told to ring Bestways instead who are the manufacturer of the hot-tub. I thought that being the seller they could of done more to help?? Anyway Bestways are sending a replacement plug. Happy Days!!! Otherwise quick and prompt delivery. Some advise: You need to improve more on customer service if supplying goods via the web."
Mr Stuart Stacey - Rhondda Cynon Taff, 17th June '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Stuart. We are sorry that you received a faulty plug. This is the first occasion where this has happened in the many years that we have been supplying the Lay Z Spa. The reason that we requested that you telephone Bestway is because they uphold the warranties in the UK. We will help where possible but in this instance it was necessary for you to speak with Bestway directly.
Lay Z Spa Series 2
"I decided to buy this from this site not only on price but because of the customer service comments that I had read - and I have to say this is spot on. One of the items that I had ordered had not arrived, with the rest, after contacting the company it was there within 2 days! I am very impressed with the speed of the delivery and the customer service and have advised work colleagues to use them. As for the spa - just buy it - it's the best thing I've bought in a long time - after a stressful day at work there is nothing better than to sit and chill -so to speak- as the spa does get to 40 degrees. I couldn't wait to use it I was so impressed. Me and my son have built a bespoke gazebo to house it - well as it it my favourite place to be each night even a little thunder & lightning didn't stop me - my only concern is - what will I do in the winter when it has to be put away??!!"
Melanie Troyden-Fraser - South Derbyshire, 17th June '09
Great product, poor delivery
"Love the spa, a great product for the money.

The spa is very easy to set up and is pretty much as functional as a proper spa tub (that would be at least 10x the price). I heated up the water to 37 degrees over night which was surprisingly fast and the bubble jets are surprisingly effective considering they are only pin holes in a sealed section of the blow-up spa. It is very comfortable and seems hardy enough to withstand moderately heavy use. I suspect the only real way of popping it would be from overloading it with people or tearing the PVC from inside (as the outside has a very tough terylene jacket)

My only complaints are that the pump will shut itself off automatically after 24 hours of non-user intervention, which means the water begins to cool and requires re-heating again. This means that the 2KW heater has to work overtime again doing no favours for ones electricity bill. Also when using the jets, the air pump is very loud which may annoy neighbours or restrict its use to daytime hours. It sounds very much like a vacuum cleaner motor. Also the RCD protected plug is rather large, which would mean getting it to fit in a sealed outdoor socket may prove a problem unless you are willing to cut it off and put a standard plug on it (the mains unit being RCD protected of course). The positives are that the pump unit seems to be very solid in construction and so far has proved to be weather proof.

Biggest bug bare was the delivery. Made the mistake of having it delivered to home (rather than work) hoping they might leave it in our back garden or with our neighbours (as instructed). After two failed delivery attempts I decided enough was enough and drove the 20-odd miles to the Parcel Force depot to collect it. That said the packaging was more compact than I expected and managed to fit it all in the back of my average size 5 door hatch with the seats down"
Mr Paul Piper - Oxon, 17th June '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Paul. The 24 hour shut off is a safety regulation designed to prevent the pump from overheating. You can start it up again at any time by pressing any button indicating that the unit is being supervised. If the product were to overheat there would be the risk of fire. The cut off will also extent the life of the pump, since with all pumps, continuous use will cause wear. To save your electricity bill, we recommend turning the pump off when not in use. To heat the spa to full temperature from cold, it takes 10 hours. With regards to your delivery, it is unusual that drivers do not follow instructions to leave elsewhere or with neighbours. However, it is at their discression. If they feel it is unsafe to do so, or your neighbours are not in, they will return the parcel to the depot. To thank you for your review, we have added 5 drinkstuff credits to your account equivalent to £5 off your next order.
How tough?
"I'm think of buying one, but we have a medium sized dog that likes to jump up, and its front claws will inevitably end up on the top of the spa. Will the spa withstand this? Also, how level and even does the ground need to be on where you sit this thing?"
Geordie John - Newcastle, 9th June '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your question John. We recommend that you keep your dog away from the Lay Z Spa to be safe. When the top cover is on, you will be better protected but we can't guaranteed that claws with not pierce the liner. The ground however should be reasonably level and flat but it doesn't have to be perfect.
Whirlpool?
"I am looking to buy one of these pools for the summer, can you advise if its a whirlpool as well as I have seen footage of some on YouTube that shows whirl pool as well?"
Tatter - Wales, 4th June '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your question Tatter. The Lay Z Spa features 80 air-jets that create a massage-like effect. A 'Whirlpool' is a brand of spa that uses heated water jets as opposed to air. This is a much more expensive system which is often a feature of installed hot tubs.
Lazy z spa
"Fantastic product well worth the money; kids had a whale of a time at daughter's birthday party. Parents sat out and watched the stars, while in the warm relaxing bubbles. Thanks lazy spa makers for a great product!"

Lazy Spa
"Our spa came on Wednesday as promised. It was so easy to set up. The kids refused to go to bed until they'd tried it soon as it was hot enough. It's the best money spent in a long while. I read all the reviews before ordering a spa. I just couldn't believe it could be that good for that price. All I can say is, if your thinking about one, go for it, you won't regret it at all. The neigbours have already been in it and I've only had it 3 days. Good news travels fast! Excellent value!"
Steve Motton - Southend-on-Sea, Essex, 29th May '09

"Bought one before Xmas and my hubby thought I was having a laugh. Didn't get it up and running until April cause you can't use it if the outside temperature is below a certain level. Anyway, it was easy enough put together and fill. Have to say it's great fun. I can't keep my hubby out of it."
Emma Clarke - Northern Ireland, 29th May '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Emma. It is not advisable to leave the Lay Z Spa outside for long periods of time in cold weather. However, the spa will function fine above 4°C.

"We are delighted with the product and the service you have delivered. Prompt service and wonderful attention to the small problem we had with the inflatable cover to the spa - a replacement received in two days - very good indeed. I am running a customer service training programme in a few weeks and your company will feature as a good example."

Darren Heskett - Sunderland, 3rd May '09
Absolutely Fantastic
"The Spa arrived three days after ordering, no problems. This, I would say, is the best £300 I have ever spent. The quality and service I received was fantastic. I use the spa every day and my children think it's fantastic. My sister has a hot tub that cost £2500; I have tried both and I have to say that mine is the most fun and so comfortable."
Julie Delaney - Llandudno, North Wales, 22nd April '09
"Just wanted to know; how long does it take to get to the right temperature from cold?"
Paul - Liverpool, 19th April '09
Drinkstuff says: The Lay Z Spa will take approximately 10 hours to heat up from cold. For more answers to frequently asked questions, visit our Lay Z Spa FAQs.
"Just wanted to no how much they cost to run? How much percent does your bill rise if left on constantly?"
Steve Brown - Wales, 26th March '09
Drinkstuff says: The Lay Z Spa will cost approximately £10 a month for moderate usage. The manufacturers do not recommended leaving the pump on constantly. It has not been designed for this purpose and doing so will reduce the life of the pump.
Lay Z Spa Is Excellent
"My parents got an expensive spa in their garden about a year ago. We waited to see if it would be another fad or whether it would last and they still use it all the time. We couldn't afford one like theirs so looked into getting a compromise that I had seen on the Gadget Show (Lay Z Spa). The reviews looked excellent so it was just a matter of convincing the wife we needed one. On a whim I bought the Lay Z Spa from Drinkstuff on a Thursday lunchtime and it was delivered the following day. We then set up the spa and used it for the first time on sat night when it was up to temp. The kids think it is excellent and we are using the spa almost daily. The chemicals are also fine to get used to if you check it on a daily basis. I would thoroughly recommend Drinkstuff for their service."
Paul Andrews - New Costessey, 3rd March '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Paul. We are pleased that you and your family are enjoying the Lay Z Spa. As a thank you for your review, we have added 5 points to your account, equivalent to £5 off your next order.
Great innovation
"I got the spa for my girlfriend's Christmas present, and we've loved having it. When it's been set up properly we use it almost every night - it's great to come home to after a long day at work.

There were a few pleasant surprises. I thought that it would be difficult to set up - not at all true. Very simple to do and fairly quick too. It's far more robust than I had imagined too. I had perceived that it would be a flimsy piece of kit, but it seems very sturdy, and it's certainly comfortable.

A few more details/recommendations in the instructions would be handy though. For example should the pump be left running to filter the water constantly? Does it work out much more expensive to have it running at full temperature rather than cooling down and then heating it up from scratch every day or two?

We've now had it up and running properly for the past few weeks (ever since the snow melted) and just can't stop using it. Many thanks!"
R Calderwood - Essex, 2nd March '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Rob. We are pleased you are enjoying your Lay Z Spa. With regards to your questions, we recommend that you only switch the pump on when you intend to use the spa and switch it off when you are finished. This will prolong the life of the pump. Remember to leave enough time for the spa to heat up before use. If you intend to use the spa the following day but do not want to leave the pump running, put on the inflatable lid and clip it down with the canvas cover. This will harbour some of the heat overnight. It is not necessary to continually filter the water but it would be necessary to replace the water if left for long periods of time. To increase the life of your filters, we recommend removing the filters and rinsing them from time to time. Please let us know if you have any further questions or require more information. We have added 5 points to your account, equivalent to £5 off your next order.

"We've got ours set up in the conservatory which means we've been able to sit in it (drinking Gin & Tonics) while watching the snow fall!

Although there's no jets, the vigorous bubbles do an excellent job in massaging you, and the 40C temp is plenty (although it does tend to cool down after about 20mins if you're pumping cold air through it).

Keeping the chemicals balanced isn't too hard (buy the starter pack & read it carefully before starting!), but you do need to keep on top of it.

Get one!!! You won't regret it!"
Paul Coulson - Leicester, 9th February '09
40th birthday present
"Got the lazy spa for my 40th in Oct 2008, kids and I set it up in the living room (it was raining that day) watched the dvd which was easier than reading instructions. When we had inflated the pool rolled it through the house out of the french doors and into the summer house my hubbie had built to house the spa. Hooked up the pump etc with no problems and started to fill up. This did take at least 24 hours (dep on water pressure) and then about another 24 hours to heat. Once it was ready it was fantastic, the bubbles were great and really relaxed those tired muscles. Only one down side, the led display showing the temp of the water did not light up properly on some numbers, I did ring the help number to be told to switch it off and restart the pump to see if it cleared (it did not) and if it persisted I would have to send the pump unit back."
Kirstie Pethers - Dorset, 19th January '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Kirtie. We are pleased that you are enjoying your spa. We are very surprised at how long it is taking you to fill your spa. In our experience, the spa should take just 2 hours to fill up. With regards to your LED display, feel free to call our Customer Services team who will happily assist you in arranging a replacement pump.
Best Bestway spa by far...
"Read all reviews on your site before ordering and thought that it seemed to be too good to be true. I bought it as an Xmas present for the wife and installed it Christmas eve at 4.00pm. What a fantastic present! All the reviews are exactly as they say. Great product, great price, great delivery, great fun. Look out for three orders from the Hull and East Yorks region."
Terry Grant - Beverley, East Yorks, 11th January '09
A Best buy I have made in Years
"I bought my lazy spa about 6 months ago, I have a broken back after an accident some years ago, some friends of mine recommended I buy one by one because of the the therapy benefits plus the fact it was fantastically enjoyable, the heat and spa do me the world of good and as they said it's fantastically enjoyable. My friends have theirs outside on there decking but I decided to have mine inside in my Sun lounge. Just before the winter set in I decided to insulate my Lazy Spa with a sealed silver wrap loft insulation which I have placed between the inflatable tub and the outer casing; it really does keep the heat in and the costs down. Well it works brilliantly fantastic I have been using mine all winter. I recommend it to anyone. Bob"
Robert Hamilton - Maldon, Essex, 10th January '09
Amazing Service
"Brilliant!!!!!!! I ordered my Lazy Spa and it came the very next day. Very honest about the product when questioned, I would recommend the Lazy Spa to anyone and to buy from drinkstuff, two friends have since placed orders.....

Any one who wants a hot tub should buy one of these first to learn how to maintain one and if you're actually going to get the use out of one before buying a permenant hot tub at more money.

The best £300 I've ever spent!!!!!"
Paul Inglis - Bracknell, Berkshire, 2nd January '09
Spa
"We wanted to be in our Spa on Christmas day and we were. It arrived on time and it was easy to assemble and it has been great fun and relaxing ever since. Our spa is a brill way to spend £300."
Gilly Palmer - Lincolnshire, 28th December '08
4 stars
"I have been the owner of a lay z spa for two years now, it is true the pump can let you down as it has for me twice, but I got a new pump under the 12 month warranty with a phone call. No problem. Their service in my case was first rate. My sister bought one after being in mine and once again the service was fantastic."
Phil - Cornwall, 14th December '08
"The best 300 quid I've ever spent. My wife and have used the spa every night. Just get the kids to bed, sit out and look at the night sky and chill. It puts you in the right mood for a good nights sleep. Priceless!"
Martin Broad - Weston-Super-Mare, 4th November '08
"Fantastic toy...everyone must get one!!!!"
Nigel - Maidstone, 22nd October '08
"Easy & quick to set up. Heats up quickly. Great bubbles, room for me, my husband and 3 children. We love it. If we had to find a negative ...the blower for the bubbles is a little nosier than we expected but no complaints from our neighbours."
Rivers - Essex, 5th October '08
"So easy to use and ready within a few hours. Once inside you don't want to get out it is soooooooo relaxing."
Wendy - West Midlands, 1st September '08
What a cheeky bit of kit!
"Getting in the first time in the open air feels weird but once in ,wow fantastic and the spa knows it! It makes the end of a social evening with friends very sociable! The spa effect is very contageous and everybody wants one once they have tried it. You just got to buy one."
Stu & Pam - Manchester, 31st August '08
"Lay Z Spa is probably the best way you can spend £300!!
My three children and I love it. Once you get to grips with the chlorine, it's so easy to keep maintained. Running costs are much lower than I thought. Buy one!!!"
Maria Kendall - Gloucestershire, 30th August '08
"Wow! Is absolutely brilliant. So easy to put together and hot within 12hrs! Had some great evenings already and looking forward to many more. Would definately recommend to all my friends and family :D"
Becky - Cotswolds, 24th August '08
"Lay-Z spa II is the best purchase we have made in ages. Quick to set up and relatively cheap running costs. Living in Wiltshire our water quality is pants and we had problems with abnormaly high TA, big thanks to Chris at drinkstuff for getting me detailed instructions from the manufacturer to sort it out. The other thing you hav to watch out for in hard water areas is limescale but we managed to get limescale inhibitor from our local garden centre. The water is now crystal clear and very relaxing after a hard days work. In summary, excellent product from bestway and excellent service from drinkstuff, many thanks."
John Lucas - Wiltshire, 17th August '08
"Fantastic!! Exactly what we wanted but never imagined we'd find it for £300. Excellent service, ordered Friday delivered Tuesday, very straightforward assembly. A real bit of luxury on these cold summer evenings. Many many thanks."
Chris and Frank - East Sussex, 12th August '08
"Very good product - easy to set up and fun to use. You need to revise your estimates of weekly running costs in light of recent fuel price rises. Also, instructions do not mention how long to leave spa pump running. Otherwise great."
Steve B - Kent, 8th August '08
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and review Steve, we have calculated the running costs again based on the current electricity rates and the Â2-3 is still correct, we had actually overestimated the cost previously. Regarding running time of the Spa pump, Bestway recommend that once the water reaches 40 degrees the pump is not left on for longer than 8 hours.
"I decided to order my spa after reading the online reviews. What can I say, its absolutely great, so relaxing and so much fun for a party. Everyone that has been in my spas wants one, just order today and start enjoying tomorrow. My Spa was delivered with a european plug however one call to Drink stuff soon sorted that out, great friendly service and even gave me a voucher code."
Peter Cowell - Maidstone, Kent, 6th August '08
"Less than 24 hour delivery, set up in 4 hours, heated in six more, absolutely First Class, from ordering to sitting in it having some wine!

Have convinced my friends to get one...

To the lady who doesnt like it as it takes too long to heat, I'll have it:)"
John n Nat - Bournemouth, 20th July '08
"The lazy spa is a fantastic product, very easy to set up and use. I would recommend it to anyone."
Sam - Newcastle, 25th June '08
"Best 223 quid I ever spent! Tip fill with half hot water then cold to get it hotter quicker, but top product having first spa and bbq party next week will post a photo!"
Andy Barker - Stoke on Trent, 23rd June '08
Drinkstuff says: Bestway, the manufacturers of the Lay Z Spa, do not recommend using hot water as this may affect the pump. The pump is designed to heat water from a cold temperature. The lining may also distort if it is warmed up too quickly. Although this may not happen to all spas, the instruction manual does state that you should not fill the spa with hot water.
"This spa is the dogs do da's and worth every penny easy to set up and easy to use but not so easy to get out of ! Highly recommend this product and this company many thanks Neil & Alison oh and the kids"
Neil & Alison Gray - Portsmouth, 23rd June '08
"Best 300 ever spent , used every day by all the family , highly recommended ,just the same as the very expensive ones but with a much bigger smile with all the money you've saved.Very easy to set up and maintain . Can't say a bad thing about it , JUST BUY ONE !"
Mr Coates - Sheppey , Kent ME12 2HG, 18th June '08
"Over the moon with our lay z spa , have been in it most evenings and every weekend since setting it up , which is so easy to do.I have recommended it to all friends and family .GREAT VALUE best 284.99 i have ever spent."
Mr Coates - KENT, 18th June '08
"An excellent product. Great fun for all the family. Reasonably easy to set-up. First time we forgot to inflate the base!! We leave the heater on overnight (Economy 7 !!) and it retains the heat quite well. Only dissapointment. On initial inflation we found the lid had a puncture. The spa was over 3 months since dispatched so Bestway would not entertain a warranty replacement. Very annoying as we had left the Spa in the box for 10 weeks since arriving.

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and comment and we apologise for Bestway's stance on their guarantee period for the inflatable parts of the Spa. The pump has 12 months cover but the inflatable liner and lid have 3 months cover, this is explained in the manual which can be downloaded from the item description above. We ask that the spa is checked as soon as you receive it and any problems we're made aware of, as the guarantee period begins from the date of purchase. We also sell the liner and lids as spares if you require replacements after the guarantee period."
PW Fahey - Hertfordshire, 14th June '08
"We aren't using out Lay Z Spa as it takes too long to heat up to be practical. I wish it worked as I bought it as a 40th birthday present for my husband and he was very excited when we set it up. As you won't take it back, I'm stuck with it and out of pocket. Not happy.

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and comment Christina and we apologise you're not happy with the Spa, there are two main points as to the reason why, in your case, we cannot accept the Spa back as a returned item. You want to return the Spa because you're unhappy about the time it takes to heat up but we do state this information in the product description, under FAQ's, and the time is completely normal. Also, you have used the Spa so we cannot resell it. Part of our Terms & Conditions for returned items, due to the customer simply not wanting it and not due to fault/damage, is that the item is sent back in a resellable condition. This is explained in our Returns section. We hope this explains the reason why we cannot accept your spa back."
Christina Jones - Darlington, 13th June '08
"I have to say that this is the best 270 i have ever spent, well worth the money!!!! Every home should come fitted with one of these.

Guy."
Guy Ricorda - Peterborough, 12th June '08
"absolutely fantastic."
sandra gibson - oldham manchester, 11th June '08
"Fantastic value for money...the kids love it and a real novelty for parties.
Assembled in mins , higly recomended."
Paul Miller - Jersey, 11th June '08
"What a great buy! Just a shame the weather has been awful since we took delivery otherwise we'd be in it every night!! We did have some issues initially with the heater taking an extremely long time to heat the pool although after the first heat it's been working a treat. A word of warning, use the chemicals and empty the spa regularly. A must buy.."
Tim Fisher - Poole, Dorset, 11th June '08
"delivery arrived a day earlier than expected."
Pam - Shropshire, 4th June '08
"Chemical starter pack, good indicator sticks. Would be more helpful if the chemicals contained a plastic scoop with recommended additions by volume rather than by weight, because I don't have any scales around the house that can weigh 2g or 6g for example.

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and review Pam, we do agree it would be a great idea to include a scoop in the Chemical Starter Pack but the supplier is unwilling to do so because it will require different packaging and a larger box. It is not strictly necessary to get an exact measurement of the chemicals for the spa, a rough estimate would be fine."
Pam - Shropshire, 4th June '08
"This is the best Ã300 you'll ever spend! It's great. The set-up is easy and the instructions are clear. Once filled, you turn it on and wait for it to heat up (we did ours overnight). Then ENJOY! And don't think the bubbles will be like a f*rt in a bath - they're really powerful. The pump/heater/filter thing is amazingly efficient for it's size. My only gripe is the power cord is fairly short and you don't really know when to stop inflating the various sections, but stop when hard! Overall, absolutely brilliant for the money!"
Nick - South West UK, 3rd June '08
"These filters should last 12-18 months depending on use and it is so much cheaper buying a multi-pack."
Lewis Perriman - Plymouth, 2nd June '08
"This chemical pack is perfect to get you started and for about 12 -18 months , depending on spa use."
Lewis Perriman - Plymouth, 2nd June '08
"What a great spa this is £284 is a bargain . We have had hours and hours of fun and relaxation in it , just a shame you have to get out !.One important tip which we found out for ourselves and not from the instructions is when you first fill it up you will get some sort of grease floating in the water , running the spa and cleaning the filter about three times a day for the first couple of days will sort it out .Have fun."
Lewis Perriman - Plymouth, 2nd June '08
"Fantastic. Better than expected, great value for money.
"
S Banks - Cambridgeshire, 2nd June '08
"Good choice the Lay Z Spa, it does exactly as it says in the blurb, the weather has been cold but the water has been hot, a brilliant purchase. Spent a few extra pennies to put a Gazebo over and around, so it can be used in all weathers. Delivery on time, as was promised. Set up was easy just follow the instructions. Thankyou to drinkstuff."
Maxine & David - Wales, 27th May '08

"well what can i say , i was 2 minds wether or not to get one i now have one and im so impressed its not funny i thought reading about these that the temperature would be about 35 max as its so cheep but i was stunned 40 its hot lovley and cost wise i had my one on from 4 pm till 4 pm and it used about a pound of electric just one tip i will give dont use cheap chems invest in aqua finness one shot and thats it and it works , stop thinking and just buy one thanks bestway and drinkstuff for ultra fast delevery happy happy happy customer

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and review Martin, we're glad you love the Spa so much. Although there are other chemical accessories available online we recommend the accessories we offer on our website, as these are sold by Bestway and best suited for this Spa."

GRAHAM TURNER - Market Rasen Lincs, 18th May '08
"am suprised at the quality of this product for the price, is far superior to expectations. the descriptives used about ease of erecting the pool are bang on! within 3 hours all i was waiting for was the water temp to increase which it rapidly did. it was a fight to be first one in. would reccomend this product to anyone. many thanks for the low low price @drinkstuff too."
gary - kent. uk., 15th May '08
"Have already got as lazyspa 1 from last year so ordered the filters, came quick, cheapest place i can find. What a way to relax!!!!!"
sue gallimore - frimley green, 15th May '08
"CANT WAIT TO PUT MINE UP, BUT MY HUSBAND IS WORRIED THAT THE BIRDS MAY PECK AT IT , AS THEY DID THIS TO OUR BESTWAY INFLATEABLE POOL. AND THE COLLAR COULDNT BE REPAIRED.

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order & review Angela. We recommend you use a pool cover for the Spa if you're worried it might be damaged. Although there is no specific cover for the Spa, because it's a similar size to a small pool any generic pool cover should fit. The Spa does feature a durable outer cover which protects it from the elements but we cannot guarantee it can't be protected against inflicted damage. If any parts of the Spa are damaged then replacements can be purchased, please call our customer services team if you require this."
ANGELA TANNER - SWANSEA, 1st April '08
"Bought one last year as I have a bad back and was recommended by a doctor we met in Las Vegas, she reckoned a hot tub was better than any chiropractor or pills..this was 4 years before we heard of a portable hot tub. So I knew that they were across the water and as soon as Google found me one..I bought it....one of our better bargains :-)"
Isabelle - Rugby, 11th March '08
"got lay-z-spa the blue covered one can u tell me wot upgrade there is on the series 2 model. as if theres a big difference ill be getting an upgrade!!!

Drinkstuff says: The series 2 spa now has a yellow cover and an upgraded pump."
roy - kent, 2nd March '08
"Had the spa for a week now and it is great.
All the family love it especially my husband who wasn't keen on me buying it. Had it as a birthday present to myself and must admit one of the best presents I have had. Have been in the large expensive hot tubs and this is so comfortable in comparison. Great value for money. Just waiting to see how much electric it uses."
Yvonne - Cheshire, 11th February '08
"Best price on the net and super fast delivery - thx"
Audrey - Dundee, 11th February '08
"me and my family were very pleased with our new spa exellent value for the price.very relaxing we thought for 269 it wouldnt be up to much it proved us wrong.my parents have one of the expensive ones i dont see much diffrence with the bubbles the only diffrence is the seats but the lay z spa was very comfortable to sit in"
judith bennett - llanelli [west wales], 27th January '08
"Fantastic, amazing, bargain - can't think of enough great words to describe the Lay z spa! I have no access to have a normal spa so this looked great. It takes maybe 10-15 minutes to set up and then I was in it in less than 12 hours - I did cheat and fill with hot water (mostly!) I couldn't wait! So comfy - more comfy than my mates standard spa! Cheap to run and easy to maintain. We're in it every night and I'm out like a light afterwards - best relaxation ever!

Thanks for the great speedy service and fab product!"
Clare - Staffordshire, 22nd January '08
"Lay-Z-Spa filters are excellent value, I've seen other supplier quote 10x the price per filter.

Thanks!"
Mike - Newbury, 15th January '08
"These filters are top notch. They are actually Bestway filters, unlike other suppliers that are copies and the price is even better! I recommend this product."
Nick - Essex, 14th January '08
"When my wife said she wanted a hot tub and it would only cost 299, I have to admit I cringed. It will be badly designed, badly made and break down after two weeks, I said. It arrived six weeks ago and I am still being made to eat my words! It is great. Well designed and made and everything works perfectly and we spend many evenings looking at the stars and sipping wine. With regard to running costs, we tend to turn the heater on overnight as we have Economy7 (third of the price for 7 hours overnight), then top up if necessary when we plan to use it. I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone."
Don George - Canterbury, 6th January '08
"hi there im interested in buying a lay z spa and placing it in my conservatory this room is well heated with a radiator.would this keep the running cost down.im a bit worryed about peoples reveiws of the problems with the pumps as well.many thanks

Drinkstuff says: Colin, running costs would be reduced if you were to keep it indoors. The issues with the pump you have read about have now been resolved and any problems you may have with the spa you can let us know about them and we let you know how they can be sorted."
colin jones - runcorn, 6th January '08
"what a buy!! was looking to rent one of these but decide on buying one when i found out how much 'drinkstuff' sold them for!! alot cheaper than anywhere else and very prompt and a reliable service. the spa is so easy to set up and is compleatly fool proof. heated up quickly and massage function is great! would recomend to anyone. we used this for a little news years party and it went down a storm!
thanks drinkstuff"
i mair - warwickshire, 30th December '07
"Have no hesitation in buying one of these! Especially at this price! One of the best purchases I have made, very enjoyable. I have spent many nights in the spa gazing at stars!
Buy one! You will not regret it!"
Andy Law - North Wales, 27th December '07
"Impressed with quick delivery. Easy to assemble. Quick to heat up but can be pricey to run IF you're not careful! Instructions not so clear on chlorine levels (specially how to get them down!!). Apart from that absolutely brilliant. Well done Drinkstuff!!!!"
Kim and Dave - Harwich, Essex, 26th December '07
"really pleased with my order, it was dealt with promptly and delivered when said it would be, only downside was that my order was left outside by the courier in the rain.
I have not checked my order as it is a xmas present so fingers crossed it is ok!
I will definately use drinkstuff again.

Drinkstuff says:
Peter, Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry you have had some issues with Parcelforce, i will of course pass these issues on so they do not happen again. Just to make you aware if you do have any problems with your spa you have 30 days to let us know, so you have plenty of time to make us aware after Christmas.
"
peter forshaw - ramsdale park golf centre, calvert, 17th December '07
"Be warned that if you keep the spa on for 24/7 your electricity bill will more than double! I've just had a shock and so has a friend who has one as well. would welcome ideas on how i can use it without it costing me an arm and leg?

Drinkstuff says: Turn it off when not in use! Save the planet!"
Carole Belue - Torquay, 5th December '07
"Does the Lay-Z-Spa come with any chemicals included or is the 'Chemical Pack' required immediately?
Cheers

Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your question Dan. The Lay-Z-Spa comes complete with a chemical floater but the actual chemicals are not supplied. We recommend that you also buy the Chemical Pack to prevent discolouration of the water and the growth of harmful bacteria."
Dan - Plymouth, 3rd December '07
"Fantastic value, easy and quick to set up with low maintenance and cheap to run. Fits easily in our small conservatory and has made use of a room we've hadly used in the last 4 years!. My wife, two sons and myself jump in the hot tub 2 or 3 times per week and feel completely relaxed, refreshed and we feel it helps us unwind from the stresses of work and school. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone, in fact we've been recommending them to everyone that we meet!!!
"
Andy & Elaine Thackray - Danbury, Essex, 10th November '07

"The Lay Z Spa is amazing! I have always wanted a hot tub but not been able to afford one. This is just as good and a fraction of the price. Very much recommended."
Lesley C - Glastonbury, 13th October '07
"i have already left one review for this product this is just a quick update i have had it for 8 weeks now and am just going on to my 4th pump . the latest one lasted 9 days . i am following all instructions . i hope that each pump i recive comes with a full years warranty . i am guessing there must be a design floor in them .

Drinkstuff says: Nathan, we are sorry that you are experiencing such problems with your spa. We are not aware of any ongoing fault with the pump but do know that Bestway will resend a new one to you if yours is not working. I can also confirm that you do receive a full 12 months warrenty with the new units. "
nathan - hull, 7th October '07

Tim - Winchester, 3rd October '07
"Had this almost a month now - it's wonderful really extends the summer cant wait to use it through the winter. Gets us into the garden and fresh air even on rainy days !!!
Been thinking of getting a Hot Tub for a while but the thought of spending a few thousand on what may just be a fad for a few weeks put me off, buying this one has proved it wont just be a fad - if it breaks down after a couple of years then I think I'll just get another!"
Peter - West Sussex, 3rd October '07
"I only bought 6x twin packs of Lay Z Spa filter packs, not the actual spa.
Excellent service, good comunication super fast delivery. I would also say the filter cloth is of much better quality than the original sent with spa. Will buy from again !!

P.S The Lay Z Spa is well worth the money."
Owen - Cambs, 17th September '07
"great fun, had trouble setting up, kept tripping, but works fine now.noise is louder than expected, so tend not to use late at nite with nieghbours, would and have recommended it tho."
Darren Francis - UK, south yorks, 14th September '07
"I would recommend this product to anyone. The design is terrific and really easy to build initially and also to maintain thereafter. Understanding the chemical mix is the hardest part of it, but after reading the instructions then trying it for yourself you'll not be long in working it out. The starter pack is a good size too, and will last you well. We have enjoyed spending time relaxing in the Spa and think its great value for money. Go on - dive in."
John and Nicky - Ayrshire, 9th September '07
"A neighbour had one of these and showed the wife - After very little persuasion we decided to go for it - we haven't been out of the Laz-y-spa for the past week - It is absolutely brilliant, little maintenance to get the chemical mix right - awesome star watching on a clear evening with cold beer - definately recommend the spa and drinkstuff have been very helpful...BUY BUY BUY"
Mark Madden - Washington, 4th September '07

Rob - Midlands, 2nd September '07
"Thought Id spoil myself with one of these, but hey the whole family love it. It is very comfy, strong jets, plenty of bubbles. brilliant for 'Enteraining!!!!' The noise from the bubbles manages to hide all your 'Ooooohs', and 'Arrrrrhhhhs' My neighbours are GREEN!!. Will definately get another one when this one worn out. WORTH EVERY PENNY."
D Brown - Nottingham, 2nd September '07
"Do you have to turn the spa off at some point or do you just keep it running?

Drinkstuff says:Please see the FAQ, this should help with any question you may have about the spa http://www.drinkstuff.com/lay-z-spa.asp"
Kirstie Jones - Kent, 30th August '07
"Have fallen in love with the Lay Z spa. Covered with Gazebo and fencing for a great set up.
Definitely get the chemicals from the off, as it'll be like a pond in two days otherwise!"
Chris Cahill - Middlesex, 30th August '07

"this is very good product great fun very easy

9 - 10"
alan bolwell - wales, 27th August '07
"Initially i thought that it was bound to be a bit cheappo in conctruction to match the cheap price, but was suprised that it seems easy to put up and was great to relax in. The only thing i forgot to do was to blow the top cover up with the pump (being a bloke i thought i wouldn't need the instructions d'oh), so i had to do this by the power of my lungs which is not a good ideawhen you have had a few drinks.
Also a great feature over a dearer spa is that you can pack t away without spoiling the whole of your lawn."
Simon Foster - Worcestershire, 27th August '07
"Fantastic fun, would recommend to anyone.
Do remember to buy chemicals though as it gets disgusting if you don't maintain it."
Tony - Kent, 27th August '07
"I was astounded at the quality of the product, it was easy to fit together and it worked first time! Sceptical friends and sons have been proved wrong, and the wife is overjoyed.

"Quick delivery, easy to set up & install, great fun. One of the best peices of equipment we have bougt would definately recommend to friends.

Tracey O'Regan - Hull Esat Yorkshire, 26th August '07
"After alot of no no no from the mrs went ahead and bought the spa, now the mrs spends more time in the spa than me. Moral of the story for all the boys out there, buy buy buy,and you will get your moneys worth. The best thing i have bought in along time, ps about 38c is very nice. easy set up.buy chemical pack and filters as well, clean filters every 3 days. good luck."

"Have had this Lay-Z-Spa 4 weeks, it's great. The team at Drinkstuff were very helpful as i did not get the discount but they sorted this. It's lovely to get in after working late shift at 10pm really relaxes me. The pump is a little noisy as there are kids next door and i wish i could tone down the pressure but otherwise it is fine. The pump works well but has twice switched off - led message 6cf; restarts with no problems. Would recommend anyone to purchase this as an alternative to more expensive and permanent products. I like my adult pool."
Tanya - Essex, 22nd August '07
"We bought the kids a swimming pool and we bought a lazy spa for ourselves, unfortunatly the kids prefer the spa, so the pool does not get used!!!"
Sarah Owen - ROCHDALE, 21st August '07
"Great items, Drinkstuff are alot cheaper too than Bestway"
Steve - Gloucestershire, 21st August '07

"I am on my second pump now and it is not working properly again.I have only had this product 2 months. It said nothing about turning off for 8 hours when purchased, but spoke to others that have done that to theirs and they've still got problems.
People must be told of the problems and those who have problems should either be refunded or a replacement that does work should be given. If this product continues to be faulty then it should be redesigned and offered to existing customers.Although it costs a small amount compaired to buying a proper spa, it still is a lot of money to me if it doesn't work.

Drinkstuff says:We are sorry that you have had these problems. This is not a recurring problem we have. Unfortunately we cannot test this product fully before we send out so rely on the manufacturers. If it was ongoing we would recall the parts. We will of course keep replacing the items until you have a fully working spa."
Debra Wright - Lincoln, 12th August '07
"its brillant,
its fab,
its warm,
its the best thing we ever had,
i play football on a sunday morning and after running around for 90 minutes your body wants to relax, and trust me after getting into my lay-z-spa i feel fresh and relaxed and want to play another 90 minutes and am 34 years old"
dale - nottingham, 11th August '07
"This is one of the best things we have ever bought. It was pretty quick and easy to set up but the actual running instructions are a bit confusing although I did email Bestway for help and they responded straight away, even asking for my phone number and a very nice lady called me immediately. You could spend thousands on a 'proper' hot tub but the Lay Z Spa does exactly the same at a fraction of the cost."
Pauline - Essex, 8th August '07
"Wicked.. Cannot get the family out of it.
"
Steve Taylor - Torquay Devon, 7th August '07
"Fantastic! We thought this would be a poor man's effort at a hot tub, but it's great!! Easy to set up and loads of space, I'm 6ft tall still can relax with space inside. A really good buy and have been for a dip in the hot water every night since we've had it. Still having slight trouble getting the chemicals right, just have to play about with the dosage. All in all really pleased with the product and had fantastic service and delivery from www.drinkstuff.com!!!"
James - Scotland, 7th August '07
"This is the second year we've had our spa and we would not be without it. It is a fabulous product, lots of fun, easy to use and clean, great for relaxing in. The added bonus is that it can be packed away for the winter. Such a great product for such a small price!!!"
Sue Gray - Rotherham, South Yorkshire, 6th August '07
"very good product for price . when its warm its very good . what they dont say on here is that you can only run pump for 8 hours a day so if you were in it on a night it then needs turning off all night long so if you wanted to get back in first thing it will have dropped about 7c which then makes it feel quite chilly . so then the heaters go back on and in around 7 hours you can get back in . apart from that when you are in its ace . when your sat out of it with people in it motor a little noisey . all in all a good product that feels 'well built' and of a good 'quality;'.

Drinkstuff says: Nathan, this is a good point about the temperature. We have had other customers and people within our company that have left the heater on constantly and have had no problems. The guidelines are there for a reason as long as you keep an eye on the temperature and let it cool after having it on for long periods there should be no problems."

Thanks"

"We have only had our Lay Z Spa up & running for 10 days, we have had so much fun in it!! its almost adictive! & it only takes a few hours to warm upto 40c once its already set up. We have also got a gazebo over it & it makes all the difference at night & when its raining! The stick on waterproof lights give off a brilliant effect at night, they are fab!"
Mrs Franklin - Grantha,, 18th July '07
"Fantastic relatively easy to set up - remember takes 12 hours to heat up. Would recommend buying chemical pack to go with to ensure water is safe. Glad to see running cost is low as well.
Fantastic have already recommended to friends - the perfect end to a stressful day"
Tracey Ashman - Burlescombe, Devon, 13th July '07
"excellent product - fabulously quick delivery - would be useful to know what chemicals are required - friends cant believe it and we have already reccomended it to others.
Thankyou for excellent service
Drinkstuff says: Thanks very much for your response Karen. The Spa has been really popular and we are pleased that you and your friends are enjoying it so much. Thanks for the great review. The chemicals to use for it are shown on our website.

Sharon Woolford - Swindon, 9th June '07
"happy with spa but cost more to run than thought

drinkstuff says: Thanks for your comments Liz. We are pleased that you are happy with the spa. The approx cost (depending on use) will be £2 - £3 per week. The cost can be kept down by making sure the lid is kept on when not in use. You may find it helpful to read our FAQ's on drinkstuff under the La Z Spa. "
liz luscombe - somerset, 9th June '07

james shaw - uk, 27th May '07
"great product but very unreliable. We are now on our 3rd pump/heater. Bestway service very good and have replaced free of charge but the unit has some serious reliability issues.

drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Chris. We apologise for any problems that you have experienced with the La-Z-Spa and can confirm that Bestways will help you with any queries or faults on 0800 6120457 ."
Chris Gee - Cambridge, 27th April '07
"The Lay-Z-Spa is a very good product, in-fact its one of the best spa’s I’ve been in, and I’ve been in a quite a few expensive ones. Why is it so good? It maintains a 104 f temperature which is as good as any alternate permanent spa and the fact that its walls are very cushioned so you get the same feeling you get when sitting in spas with leather cushions.

There are 3 major points when it comes to maintaining this spa
1) Make sure you look after the water with the chemical kit, Spa’s are lot more hard to maintain than swimming pools because of the added heat.
2) Make sure the spa is on a level surface. It may look fine when first inflated but when you get in you will see the problem.

Chris Blackwell - Bristol, 27th April '07
"...cont
3) Keep the walls inflated every few days, failure to do this will leave you feeling disappointed with the spa.

It hasn’t been mentioned that the filter makes a couple of DB noise, so just be aware of this, since people tend to leave them on most of the time.
One last tip, if you fail to get rid of all the air when bleeding the pump, stick your finger in the bottom hole inside the spa, you will then see water come out of the top of the pump, as shown in the instruction manual and know its ready to airlock.

"SPA ARRIVED WITHIN 48 HOURS. WE UNPACKED IT AND HAD IT UP AND FILLED IN AROUND AN HOUR. WE SWITCHED ON SATURDAY EVENING AND WAS IN IT BEFORE BREAKFAST SUNDAY. NOW WE'RE IN IT EVERY EVENING. BRILLIANT!!"
JIM - HEACHAM, NORFOLK, 23rd April '07
"its fab ive always wanted a hot tub.
it doesn't loose much heat overnight its my little bit of paradise! really recommend it's so easy to use and set up."
sarah - cambridgeshire, 15th April '07
"One word describes the Lay Z Spa PARADISE. After hiring a hot tub a couple of years ago we would loved to of owned one but thought they where out of our budget, but then we found the Lay Z Spa and it is definetly the best thing we have ever bought. Look forward to the evening when we can soak and relax in our very own hot tub. Drinkstuff are the best company to get one from as their customer service and delivery is the best. A A+ company. Thank you sooo much for our little bit of paradise."
Tracy - Croydon, 29th March '07
"I LOVE my Lay-Z-Spa! I have it in a fairly light-lit Gazebo in the garden. It's so lovely in there at night. Its almost like being on holiday!

It is so easy to set up and fill. Maintaining it is easy too once you get used to it and get in a simple routine. The temperature is great I have it about 37 degrees C (it will go up to 40 but thats a bit too hot for me) and the bubbles are amazing too.

The Lay-Z-Massage is quite noisy -but once your in you cant hear it over the bubbles.

I really reccomend the Lay-Z-Spa - its a great product at a great price! I've wanted a Hot Tub for years - but the Lay-Z-Spa is great and costs over £4500 less.

10/10!"
TJ - Alderley Edge, Cheshire., 11th March '07
"So far so good. Excellent product. We have used our spa almost every day since it arrived. Would recommend this as it works surprisingly well."
C Coles - London, 26th February '07
"this is quite good but it is nothing like a proper spa, its like an adult pool really, and it costs a fortune to run because of the un-insulated walls. thats why it is do cheap to buy because its not a proper spa, anyway if your looking for a cheap-skate alternative to a jacuzzi then buy this.

drinkstuff says: Thank you for your order and comments Cris. We appreciate your comments, however, we can advise that the lazySpa is aimed at customers that do not want a built in and high maintance unit. The advantage of the lazySpa is that it is portable, easy to clean and can be deflated when it is not in use and easily stored. We can advise that the air held within the spa acts as insulation enabling the water to stay at a reasonable temperature. We have tested this outside and we found that when turning the unit off overnight, the water temperature decreased by only 3 degrees. "
cris - somerset, 14th February '07
"absolutly brilliant,
would recogmend it to anyone, we have ours set up in the garage and enjoy it often,
it's quick to put up and quick to fill"
Vicki Gill - derbyshire, 6th February '07
"fantastic value for money and dead easy to set up. Where space is an issue and if you are not sure on usage then I can say that Laz y Spa fulfills the answer. Why spend upwards of £4000 on a spa when you can spend £300 on a realistic alternative."
Chris Lewis - East Midlands, 1st February '07
"this spa is the best thing i have ever bought it inflates in minutes and the massage is sensational, i am so glad i purchased it and truly recommend it, why spend thousands when this is just as good!!!!!!"

"You have to get one of these. Took a while to get going as we wanted to put it on decking. I got some thin plywood to go underneath for a nice smooth surface. Next was the electrics. As it has to be plugged in 24/7 you need a waterproof socket.Well worth the effort. This is a quality item and works better than its price suggests. Get the spa chemical starter kit though. Unless you have experience of this type of thing this is the only way to get and maintain good clean clear water. The booklet and test strips are idiot proof. As I said get one."
Chris - Suffolk, 29th November '06
"saw spa advertized locally went to view loved it, but not the price. went on line came up with drinkstuff.com offering the same product over a £100 cheaper fab ! also points as you spend, drinkstuff.com were offering the best deal money could buy."

"When my husband said that he was bringing a 'Hot Tub' home i couldn't wait! It was up and filled with water in no time, and there we were drinking champagne in it. Its really worth the money, its so lovely and warm and the bubbles are wicked. So relaxing. Money well spent. Thanks"
Rachel - Hertfordshire, 25th September '06
"Can the hot tub be used in cold weather?
drinkstuff says: Indeed it can and we recommend doing so. There is nothing better than enjoying the hot water & bubbles when the weather is cold...... "
Dawn - Glasgow, 17th September '06

"Thank you drinkstuff, this is the best thing I have bought all year! Definitely £500 well spent, a proper hot tub in our conservatory at a fraction of the price. the spa creates really relaxing, warm atmosphere and millions of bubbles! I ordered this next day, as we couldn't wait to try it out, only problem is i'll need to buy something else to keep the kids away!! Would seriously recommend investing in the Lay Z Spa. 11/10"
