Light is a magical thing, it can comfort us, mystify us, and even scare us. It is amazing how the flicker of a flame can alter our perceptions of a situation. The Mathmos Revolution does exactly that. Using only the natural power of rising heat, this superb light creates the illusion of a moving, haunting vision.
Although it may seem like it is haunted, it isn't. The Revolution uses the heat energy given off by two tea light candles in the center that spin some angled blades above. Attached to the blades are some cut outs of skeletal horsemen that start to move without being touched. This effect looks great in a dark corner and would make a fantastic focal point for parties and guests.
