The Son of Hibachi is one of the most versatile charcoal barbequing systems for home and travel. Originally based on the Japanese Hibachi cooking surfaces, the Son of Hibachi features an ingenious blast furnace concept with the chimney effect enables you to be cooking in less than 10 minutes and assures consistent heat under the grills.

With a massive 437cm² of cooking surface and a convertible roasting oven, this power house barbecue can cook anything from hamburgers and hot dogs to a Chateaubriand. Whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner, when you are finished cooking this grill folds into a self-cleaning oven and self-extinguishing barbecue.

When you're done, simply insert the Son of Hibachi into the special Snuff-Out-Pouch which has a flame-retardant lining, permitting you to pack up the barbecue immediately after eating and take it with you or store it for use at your next meal!
On top of that, the Son of Hibachi saves the unused charcoal for later use, saving you time and money!

HOW TO USE THE SON OF HIBACHI:
Place your charcoal under the removable grills of the Son of Hibachi and fill the special ash drawer with something that will burn.
Fold up the whole unit so it is closed and light the flammable materials you placed in the ash drawer.
Because it is folded up tall, a chimney effect occurs allowing all the charcoal to be heated appropriately. After about 7 minutes simply open it up and you're ready to start cooking!
After your barbeque, fold the Son of Hibachi up again - the lack of air causes the charcoal to smother, saving it for your next barbeque!

Please Note: The grill of the Son of Hibachi Barbecue is made from carbon-fibre - do not wash the grill while it is still warm as there is a risk of it cracking. Wash the grill after it has cooled down fully.

B-B-Q? No,B-B-Canoe! We Took The SOH For A Paddle Round Poole Harbour In A Canoe, It Was Awesome!
"We often use the SOH on the beach because it lights so well in the wind. The compact size when packed but large grill area means that we can feed plenty of hungry kitesurfers and even boil a kettle for brewing tea on a single charge of charcoal.
Once everyone is full we just close it up and fight for position to sit round it and get warm.
As for the Snuffout Bag, we tested this to the max last weekend when due to the lack of wind we decided to take out an inflatable canoe for a 6 hour paddle around Poole Harbour with plans to stop on one of the islands for a BBQ and a brew.
This idea got us a few sideways looks and humorous words of warning about the combination of a BBQ and an inflatable boat.
The ignorant fools, they had no idea that because of the snuffout bag we could kill the coals, give it 30-60 mins then load the SOH back into the canoe with no risk of it melting through the bottom and giving us a rather embarrassing problem.
I am happy to say that the mission was a great success and we have since taken the SOH onboard powerboats, catermarans and even a windsurfer. I don't think it was designed for water travel but it was definitely designed with having fun in mind.
