Customer Reviews
Review Deluxe Twisted Mixing Spoon
"Lovely medium length bar spoon, nice weight and good quality"
Cristina Worthington - Pollenca, 13th September '21
One Of My Favourite Pieces Of Equipment!
"I ordered this item a while ago and it has been an amazing addition to my little home bar. I really enjoy making layered drinks and the twisted handle allows a smooth, slow pour that is essential to these shots. The twist also allows for a gentle but effective stir, very useful where the mixer is carbonated and you want to retain the fizziness. You can also make some stunning effects if you twist the spoon and simultaneously pour a brightly coloured ingredient down the handle. A perfect tool for styling drinks!"
Daniel Scott - Plymouth, 5th December '11
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your review Daniel. As a thank you we've added 5 points to your drinkstuff account, which is equivalent to £5 off your next order.

What A Boon!
"Brilliant, long spoon especially good for those tall glasses - twisted stem really is great for the layering of drinks, can't believe how childishly pleased I am with a spoon!"

Very fast delivery!
"Product is brilliant, excellent quality and extremely stylish!! The delivery was super fast as I only ordered it the day before and it was there first thing the following morning. Drinkstuff.com, I applaud you. :-)"
Kajal - Herts, 27th November '09
Stirred, not shaken
"Some cocktails should always be stirred, so you need a good spoon as part of your armoury. This is that spoon. Nice and long, good to hold, twists in the fingers well. I haven't had a chance to try the flat end for layering yet, but I'm looking forward to giving it a go."
Stuart - Dartmouth, 19th August '09
Nice and long - perfect for mixing really big drinks!
"I took one look at this, and couldn't quite grasp how I was meant to use such a long spoon. One look at some tall Pilsner-style pint glasses later, I had my answer. Giant cocktails!

The corkscrew-style handle's really nice too. I know it's supposed to help with pousse-cafe drinks, etc, but it's quite cool to watch it spin downwards through your fingers. I really don't have that much of a life, truth be told...

Oh, and it looks really cool to eat lemon sorbet with, though that's just my opinion, and I could be well off the mark. Still..."
Will Scanlan - Sunderland, 13th August '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Will. To show our appreciation, we have added 3 drinkstuff credits to your account, equivalent to £3 off your next order.

Janelle Trevelyan - Belfast, 21st May '09
"Very pleased with quality and prices."
Rosemarie Kemp - Ellesmere Port, 18th August '08
"Well made spoon, the twist on the shaft really helps ensure a good stirring action."
Greg Pipe - London, 22nd June '08
"the bar spoon is fab. works so well.
i wanted it to make a champagne cocktail. you pour the champagne down the twisting bit and it hits the flat metal bit at the bottom. (sorry if you cant understand this v technical language!!) so the champagne doesnt mix with the other ingredients straight away. works a treat is what i am really trying to say xx"
lorraine - scotland, 25th November '07
"Traditional quality solid professional mixing spoon. Great quality and very pleased to find as hard to get hold of."
Robert Thorogood - Ipswich, 9th July '07
"Classic Bar Spoon with mini muddler. Who knows when to use it, knows how important it is. Be carefull when using the other side because it is not difficult to brake it then."
Jakub - North West London, 25th June '07
"I bought this to complete the kit. I’m glad I did.

In spite of the James Bond influence, a classic martini should be stirred. This is to ensure that the drink is perfectly clear, as shaking makes the drink misty.

Stirring the drinks in a mixing glass is much easier with this bar spoon than trying to use an ice cream sundae spoon, as I have been doing previously.

The muddler on the end is a bonus, and is useful for making drinks such as a Mint Julep, that require the crushing of mint leaves in a glass.
"
Robin Wilkinson - Ipswich, Suffolk, 19th January '07
"First class product. Excellent customer
service."
Kendrick - Ballinger, Great Missenden, 30th May '06
"you cant make a good cocktail without all the essentials. This is one of those essentials, its just as important as a shaker,a glass, and the ingredients in the drink."
Chris Kitson (mixologist) - Greater Manchester, 21st March '06
"brilliant!!! wanted one ever since i saw one in a cocktail book got one now and it is excellent quality and lovely to make cocktails with"
eddie - newcastle, 3rd February '06
"One thing that isn't mentioned is that in certain books they use a 'spoon' as a measure, this doesn't mean teaspoon or tablespoon, but bar spoon which is roughly a third of a shot."
Iain Cardno - Glasgow, 25th May '05
"I was looking everywhere for this when I saw it once in a cocktail book. Looks great and is fantastic for layering spirits using the flat end."
Gary - Essex, 9th February '05
"Cool. Can't find one in the shops. The flat end can also be used as a muddler."
Liam - Bradford, 15th June '04
"Great product, except the flat end of the spoon is not for ice crushing, its for layering spirits on top of each other in shot glasses."
Ben Paulden - Bangor, 16th May '04
