Colour Changing Drinking Straws
"A nice idea but they needed quite a big change in temperature to work effectively. I found putting them near a heater a few minutes before they were due to be used worked the best."
Karen Smith - Royston, Hertfordshire, 28th March '13
"Great price and such a novelty. Kids & grown ups had fun with them!"
Viv - Bicester, 4th November '12
"Don't look much, but so cool! Put them in your drink they change colour, then as you sip the colour changes all the way up. Then as they warm up from lack of drinking they go back to normal until you suck the liquid up again. We got very excited about it."
Denise - Luton, 31st August '12
"Thought these would be a novelty for the kids, waste of money! You either have to freeze or heat them a lot in order for any change to show. Have had better versions. Shame I bought two packets."
Carole - Cumbria, 9th August '12
"When they came to be honest I thought "Hmmm, why did I order such weirdly coloured straws" but then when me and some friend used them it was a case of "Ooooh they're so cool!!"... Awesome straws!"

"Received this as a gift. The colour changes are not as expected. The kids are disappointed."
Amanda - UK, 14th March '12
Drinkstuff says: We're sorry you were disappointed with the straws Amanda. They work best in contrasting temperatures, such as an ice cold drink in a warm room.
"I bought these as part of a present, when they arrived was a little disappointed as they were just in a plain bag. Am sure they worked OK though."
Linda - Suffolk, England, 5th September '11
"Pretty disappointed with the straws they hardly changed colour at all so definitely wouldn't buy them again."
Adam - Dorset, 16th August '11
Drinkstuff says: We're sorry that you were disappointed with the Colour Changing Straws Adam. They work best with ice cold drinks, we use them around the office regularly.
"Good fun, cheap, and a good conversation starter!"

"It took us a long time to figure out how these straws change colour until it was put in a cup of ice! Then it was pretty cool! No room temperature drinks with these straws!"
Erin - Scunthorpe, 20th July '11
"Do what they say on the tin, nice little bits of decoration, can really give a boost to a drinks image, and will often have the ladies coming back for more, so really can increase sales at a bar, or impress your guests at a party. It is just a shame they do not do longer versions for tall cocktail glasses etc... And the range of colours are limited, probably due to the manufacture process, and chemicals involved perhaps? These are the only reasons I couldn't give it a full 5 star rating."
Steven Philpott - Medway, 29th June '11
"Love these straws! They are quite chunky so work well in thick drinks like smoothies and milkshakes. A bit too wide for cocktails as you get drunk too quickly! Lol. So long as you have ice in your drink they change colour - and when you take them out they change back to normal colour!"
