Autumn Apple Sangria Recipe

How to Make Autumn Apple Sangria

To make approximately 8 servings
4 Lemons
225g of Sugar
8 Cinnamon Sticks
750ml of Dry White Wine
250ml of Calvados Brandy
250ml of Apple Cider
250ml of Soda Water
1 Tart Green Apple
1 Sweet Red Apple

Thinly slice one of the lemons and place into a large jug
Juice the three other lemons into a saucepan
Add the sugar and cinnamon sticks to the saucepan and bring the mixture to boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved
Once the sugar has combined with the lemon juice let the syrup cool
Once cooled remove the cinnamon sticks and set them aside and add the syrup to the jug with the lemon slices in
Add the wine, brandy, cider and soda water to the jug
Stir gently to combine
Slice the apples into small pieces and add to the jug
Ideally refrigerate the sangria for a minimum of 4 hours before enjoying, but it can be enjoyed right away
To serve, pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice and garnish with one of the cinnamon sticks that you used to create the syrup
