For all you Potterheads out there, these Harry Potter inspired cocktails are the perfect ingredients for a magical cocktail party. Featuring potions and beverages from the series these are ideal for any Muggle who wants to bring a bit of magic into their world. Now turn to page 394 of your cocktail making books and polish up your potion (cocktail) making skills.

10ml (2 tea spoons) Simple Syrup (or to make your own simply heat equal parts sugar and water until dissolved and cool)
10ml (2 tea spoons) Lemon
50ml Ginger Beer
Decorate the glass with gold leaf
Mix syrup and lemon juice in the bottom of a Versailles Champagne Flute
Add ginger beer and top up with Champagne/Prosecco
Baron’s Bloody Mary
“A horrible ghost, with blank staring eyes, a giant face and robes stained with silver blood”
Red salt for rimming
150ml Tomato juice
3 dashes of Tobasco sauce
2 teaspoons horseradish
pinch of black pepper
whole dried OR fresh chilli to garnish
Fill a shaker with ice, squeeze in lemon and lime wedges
Add remaining ingredients and shake gently
Strain into glass
Garnish with celery stick and chilli
“Does anyone fancy a butter beer?”
Ingedients (serves 6-8)
6-8 tablespoons of butterscotch sauce (homemade or shop bought)
700ml apple cider
235ml bourbon whisky
475ml ginger beer
Heat cider, bourbon and butterscotch sauce in a saucepan until butterscotch dissolves and mixture is piping hot.
Remove from heat and stir in ginger beer
Ladle into mason jars and top with squirty cream
“The most powerful love potion in the world”
Ingredients (serves 20 -perfect for parties)
1 x 750ml bottle Aperol
950ml pomegranate juice
2 x 750ml bottles of chilled rose sparkling wine
Pomegranate seeds to garnish
For the ice cubes place raspberries and/or pomegranate seeds into a heart shaped (or normal if not available) ice cube tray, fill with water and freeze.
For the punch

75ml bourbon whisky
50ml sparkling water
25ml simple syrup
Handful of mint leaves
Place mint leaves in bottom of glass and top with simple syrup.
Muddle together until leaves break down and add a splash of sparkling water.
Fill glass 3/4 full with with ice and add bourbon.
Add another splash of sparkling water.
Garnish with mint leaves.

50ml lemon juice
25ml simple syrup
Slice of orange
Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice
Shake until shaker is cold to the touch
Strain into an ice filled glass
Garnish with cherry and orange
