A beer mug may refer to a tankard or a stein. It is a large drinking vessel with a handle and heavyweight base, traditionally made from stoneware, porcelain or pewter, but also may be made from glass, silver or wood. Most commonly used for serving tap beer, a beer mug typically holds between 10oz and 20oz.
