Cork Extractor

Glossary of Terms

A cork extractor (sometimes referred to as a lever pull or double-action corkscrew) is a style of corkscrew which uses a double lever action to quickly remove the cork from a wine bottle. A typical cork extractor is wall or shelf mounted as one hand is needed to hold the bottle and another hand is needed to operate the lever. When the lever is pushed down the worm enters the cork and when the lever is pulled up the cork is extracted.
