Jigger Measure

Glossary of Terms

A jigger measure is a cup used to measure spirits and liqueurs before they are added to the glass. The jigger is named after the 1.5oz (44ml) measurement it's used for, but many bar jigger measures come in other sizes. A traditional jigger is the stainless steel double ended jigger, which has an hourglass shape and typically features a single shot at one end and a double shot at the other.
