A Pina Colada is a type of cocktail made with rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice. It has a sweet taste and is often garnished with a maraschino cherry or pineapple wedge or both. The Pina Colada originated in Puerto Rico and the name literally means strained pineapple in Spanish. Variations of the Pina Colada include the Caribou Lou with Malibu and the King Henry with vodka.
