Vintage

Glossary of Terms

The term vintage in winemaking is the process of making wine from grapes that were all grown and harvested in a single specified year. Some wines, such as Port declare vintage port in their best years, resulting in the common but incorrect assumption that all vintage wine is particularly old or of high quality.
