A wine thermometer is designed to measure the temperature of wine in a bottle before serving. This helps ensure the wine is served as its optimum temperature. The design of wine bottle thermometers vary and include infrared thermometers, wrap around bottle thermometers and probe thermometers which are inserted into the top of the bottle.
