Customer Reviews
Heineken no longer fit
"Have just bought two kegs, I see that the design has been changed and you can no longer snap apart the pouring spout, so the Wunderbar will no longer fit. Also the keg does not stay open when the handle is pushed forward so the lid to the cooler will not shut. :("
Paul Bennett - Kent, 25th January '10
Drinkstuff says: Thanks for making us aware of the change in the Heineken kegs Paul. Our current stock is still the old design as featured on the product page, so these should work with the Multidraft / Wunderbar Chiller and the new Chambrer Draft Beer Dispenser.
Manual & spare UniVat for Multidraft
"Greetings, need a replacement user manual for Multidraft - PDF would be fine.
Also looking for replacement polycarbonate "Univat" keg.
Thanks much in advance."
Ian Lincoln - Campbell, 21st January '10
Drinkstuff says: Hi Ian, unfortunately we don't have any manuals for the Multidraft/Wunderbar Beer Chiller, though we have some user guides in the Further Info tab of the product page.
Also, we don't have any spare Univat kegs available as we stopped selling these units last Summer.
Amazing Present!!
"My fiance bought this for me for Christmas and it's a great present! Just one question though, I'm trying to buy the co2 kit for it to be able to keep the fizz up and keep the beer for longer. I can't find it anywhere, any ideas on where I can buy it? I can't find a website for Wunderbar, the same machine seems to have been re branded as Multidraft."
Craig Lawrence - Reading, 8th January '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Craig. Unfortunately, although we used to stock the CO2 kit, at present we are unable to source the product. As and when the situation changes, we will update this page. Check back regularly for updates.
Heineken Keg
"This product looks great however I recently purchased a Heineken 5 Litre keg from the supermarket (which is th only one that most of them sell), but was unable to connect it to the Wunderbar cooler as none of the attachments seem to fit. Am I doing something wrong here or do the Heineken kegs not fit?"
Alister Henderson - Swindon, 4th January '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Alister. If you look in the 'Further info' tab of the Wunderbar product description, there are links to various guides concerning use of the Wunderbar and the Heineken in particular. Alternatively, you can click here.
3 stars
"Could you please tell me how the uni-keg works? We have followed the instructions but the liquid in the uni-keg has no pressure to come out. There is no air coming from the nozzle that you connect the air pipe to. Does this have something to do with it? Apart from that product great. The pressurised kegs working fine."
Catherine Haslam - Poulton-le-Fylde, 27th December '08
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Catherine. The air pressurising system usually takes a few minutes to fully pressurise the Uni-keg; this is not an instant process. We recommend allowing 5 to 10 minutes to allow the pressurisation to occur. The pump should turn off when the keg is fully pressurised, and turn on automatically when the pressure is too low. The guides available on our site are intended as basic start-up guides - always reference the Wunderbar manual for full detailed instructions.
The Wunderbar Chiller is great!
"There are plenty of independent breweries that sell 4ltr and 5ltr kegs of cider / lagers / ales. 5ltr kegs can be found in supermarkets like Aldi, Tesco and Morrisons. Just use the yellow connector. If you are going to drink the keg in 48hrs just use the compressor. If not, I recommended that you use a co2 canister to keep the fizz.

Drinkstuff has now put a link for you all to go to perfect beers (perfectbeers.com). I would NOT recommend you to use this seller as they are not based in the UK and have sent me out of date beer,
They also had the cheek to remove the dates off the Becks kegs.
They have promised to replace the kegs in question (5 of them) but it has now been 3 weeks, so I will reverse the charge on my credit card...

Don't let this put you off from sourcing your beers from the small UK based independent breweries."
Lickus Henshaw - Gateshead, 2nd December '08
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments and advice. The link to Perfect Beers was removed some time ago. We are no longer affiliated in any way to Perfect Beers. In our Further Info tab we recommend Beer4Home.co.uk for beer kegs online.
"Hi, do you need to have the co2 kit to use this, if not, can you just use a simple 5l keg???

Drinkstuff says: Dear Dave, strictly speaking a CO2 Kit is not necessary to be able to use the Wunderbar Beer Chiller with any keg, however if you're using an unpressurised keg the beer will eventually go flat. The CO2 kit carbonates the beer inside the keg and so beer can be stored for longer without compromising the enjoyment of drinking it."
dave - sussex, 10th June '08
"Seemed a bit complicated to set up initially and we've obviously screwed up with the co2 because we used it all up on one keg of bitter and I've just read on website that it's supposed to last for 300 kegs! Now I'm looking for a replacement canister and I need to know what we did wrong. Also I'm not sure if you have to leave it on overnight and it's a bit noisy. Having said all that, it is nice to have draught beer and we will persevere with it.

Drinkstuff says: Please see our reply to 'CW - London'. We will be updating the Wunderbar page in January. Please check back regularly for resolutions to your issues."
Stephanie Ayres - Gloucestershire, 29th December '07
"Do you sell CO2 bottles without the adapter bought one with an adapter before but it didnt even last 1 keg!

Drinkstuff says: The CO2 bottles are designed to last for 300 kegs. At this time, we are unable to get hold of just the CO2 bottles. We recommend that you purchase pressurized kegs in the mean time, unless you can find them elsewhere. We apologise for the inconvenience, but please check back regularly and we will add the CO2 bottles as soon as we can get hold of them."
CW - London, 28th December '07
"Does anyone know if the 5 litre Heineken keg fits?

Drinkstuff says: The Heineken Mini-Keg does indeed fit the Wunderbar. Note however you must use the tap adaptor that comes with the keg and not any adaptors that come with the Wunderbar."
Brian - Tyne and Wear, 17th December '07
"Thanks for your answer. Have been on the link but they seem very pricey can you tell me if any supermarkets sell kegs compatible with the wunderbar?

Drinkstuff says: Some supermarkets may stock these but unfortunately we do not have any information as to which. You may want to try these brewers: Click here"
CW - London, 12th December '07
"Does anyone know if you can put the 5 litre carlsberg export keg made for the draughtmaster in the wunderbar? does it fit?

Drinkstuff says: Christine, we are sorry but the 5 litre carlsberg keg does not fit this machine, it is manufactured to be used with the Draughtmaster only. We have a link in the 'Further Info' tab to a site that sells the correct kegs for this machine. We hope this is some help."
cw - london, 10th December '07
"Great beer chiller.... but can you tell me where can i purchase the Co2 bottles for the injector....cheers again

Drinkstuff says: Thanks for your comments. We are working with our supplier to get Co2 bottles into stock. However, the Co2 attachment is supplied with a Co2 bottle that will provide gas for, on average, 300 kegs. That's a lot of beer!"
Toddy - Wirral, 6th December '07
"Pleased with the chiller, but the last 2 becks kegs when 3/4 empty nothing has come out. I have checked all hoses and reattached the blue top. I ended taking the keg out of the chiller and fitting a manual top. Does anybody else have this problem?

Drinkstuff says: We have never heard of this issue before. We have contacted the supplier who also hasn't either. If anyone else has experienced this issue, then please let us know."
jigme - dumfries, 3rd December '07
"Is there any other place to buy Kegs? Seems that there is a monopoly from Perfect Beers and I don't want to buy in bulk!"
Andy - London, 3rd December '07
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Andy, we now have a link in the 'Further Info' tab for Beer4home.co.uk who offer a range of kegs.
"I had my Wunderbar Beer Chiller arrive today, looks a great bit of kit. Just 10 minutes to unbox & setup to.
The only downside is the Lager comes out flat. Plenty of pressure from 6L kegs, just no fizz.
Definately needs the CO2 Attachment Kit, any idea when you'll be getting these instock? Hopefully it'll be before the 28 days life of my newly opened Stella keg.
Can't wait to use it though. Cheers

Drinkstuff says: David, we are expecting to have the Co2 attachments kits in next week."
David - Northants, 14th November '07
"Very pleased with the beer cooler which I bought my boyfriend for a christmas present.
I think I'm going to be more excited than him to pull a pint!
I'm looking forward to having parties and making good use of it and getting legless.
Thanks for the good service I have been really pleased with every order I've placed."
Lauren - Middlesbrough, 12th November '07
"Was wondering if the Wunderbar cooler is availiable in the U.S. or not?

Drinkstuff says: Brad, unfortunately we cannot send the Wunderbar to the US as it has the wrong voltage and plug. Wunderbar might have a distributor in the US though. Good luck!"
Brad Villeggiante - California, 15th October '07
"The Wunderbar doesn't really work with the uni-keg it comes with ,5 ltr kegs are unpressurized so produce flat beer, only 6 ltr kegs work/taste like your in a pub/bar but you have to buy them in bulk and they cost so much more than going to Tesco and buying 20 bottles of becks for a tenner! Zerodegress brewery's in Blackheath, Reading etc sell 5 ltr kegs that work in the Wunderbar but again they are unpressurized and because of this it tastes horrible. Does anyone know if the 5ltr Heineken kegs work in the Wunderbar?"
Michael - london, 8th September '07
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comment Michael. As you have found out, unpressurised kegs will not produce good beer unless used with the Wunderbar's CO2 attachment. The latest from our suppliers is that we should receive delivery of this in October 2007. Until then, we recommend the site Beer4home.co.uk who offer a range of kegs. I hope this helps.
"When using the Uni-keg, the machine is losing pressure from between the uni keg opening and the adaptor that sits on top, this means the liquid will only flow when the pump is running and it also means it takes lots of time to fill up a glass. I have tried changing all the o-rings but still no luck.

Drinkstuff says: Sam, we have emailed you with details of the supplier so they can talk you through how to get your Beer Chiller fixed."
Sam - London, 8th August '07
"We love the The Beer Chiller but the key keeps leaking inside. Has this happened to anyone else and do you know how to stop it? Other than that it is great for parties and keeps my daughter amused for hours filling peoples glasses.

drinkstuff says: Kirsty, this is not a problem we have heard of before, have you contacted the supplier of the keg to see if they can suggest a way to resolve this.

"

John Smith - India, 21st July '07
"We've had no trouble with our beer chiller, thanks so much for the link to the kegs, hours of late nite fun!"
Mary Simmons - Newcastle-under-Lyme, 13th July '07
"Great idea and product but it only produces flat beer from the unpressurised kegs. CO2 is recommended, but not currently available!
drinkstuff says: Thanks for your comments Lisle, you can look at buying pressurised kegs maybe to stop your beer from being flat..

"
Lisle Wallace - France, 4th July '07
"Product looks great! seems really well built however can't get it to work with the Uni-Vat, Keg on order though fingers crossed!

Also anyone know of good place to buy kegs have only been able to find organic beer so far!"
Wez Goodall - Surrey, 22nd June '07
Drinkstuff says: Thanks for your comments Wez! We have now added a link to The Beer Chiller directing you to Beer4home.co.uk where you can buy a variety of kegs. Enjoy your Beer Chiller!
"still trying to work out how to get it working without beer barrel as instructions not helpful, also trying to find where sells beer barrels isnt easy.

drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Paul. We are looking into adding a link on the website to suggest a site that can offer beer barrels. Also we can get some instructions sent out to you, we apologise for this."
Paul N - Kent, 6th June '07
