"A muddler is for crushing a few fresh mint leaves in your Mojito, breaking up a cherry or two to release some fruity flavour or perhaps completely pulverise a stubborn cucumber that is being unnecessarily recalcitrant (It's East London my friend, even salad can have attitude here). So this instrument needs to perform a number of varied tasks, subtle and gentle, fine and efficient and perhaps on occasion even brutal. It also needs to be robust, good looking and easy to clean. Get this one because it does and is all these things and costs next to nothing. It is let's face it, only for crushing some fruit and possibly veg into some alcohol so you can enjoy getting drunk even more and the good money not spent on inefficient frippery can then be redirected to ensuring sufficient quantities of fine ingredients like booze!
