Chrome Wing Corkscrew £2.99

"I have bought this style corkscrew twice from a supermarket. I recognise the design easily and the price is identical. At the quoted price, you will get what you pay for.
The first one I bought malfunctioned within 3 weeks and refused to draw the cork. I thought it was a 'one-off' so recycled it.
The second one would not drive the screw into the cork, it just chewed a hole in it. I returned it to the supermarket.
The design is sound, but I think I was very unlucky with the engineering.
I am searching on line and I intend to pay considerably more than £2.99 for this item as MY PERSONAL OPINION is that the stresses involved in pulling a wine cork require VERY precise engineering."
