A half pint glass is a glass, usually shaped like a hiball glass, which holds exactly half a pint, the equivalent of 10oz or 285ml. A half pint glass is most commonly used to serve beer or cider, but is also a convenient size for serving water, soft drinks and some cocktails. Along with the one-third, two-third and pint glass, the half pint glass is one of the volumes a draught beer or cider is allowed to be served in by UK law, hence many half pint glasses are available with a CE or LCE mark.
