Matcha has gone from a niche coffee shop extra, to full-blown menu must-have. Once upon a time, it was the “green one” that only a few customers knew about. 

Now? 

Iced matcha lattes, strawberry matcha, mango matcha and blueberry matcha are popping up everywhere. Helped along by wellness trends, social media, and the fact they look brilliant in a clear cup in the hot weather. 

Square reported over 1.6 million matcha drinks sold across the UK in June and July 2025 on their coffee shop till systems alone, so this isn’t just a passing green phase. So with June just around the corner, it’s time to get ready for the impulse trend of this Summer.

Why REÀL below?!

Being totally honest, I think most syrups and purees that Drinkstuff sell, work with Matcha. Monin Le Fruit and ODK Fruity mixes being my other 2 shouts. But the reason I have selected REÀL to showcase below, is because I personally have a decade plus of experience working with them. And I think for Matcha, they have many advantages over other brands;

👉️ Smaller 500ml Bottles meaning less "risk" to try a new flavour.

👉️ 40% of the bottle is 100% fresh fruit puree, then it's blended with sugar, making REÀL the highest actual Fruit Puree content of all the syrup brands. BUT crucially, they're not "Syrup Sweet".
*some flavours are less, or a juice, simply because if you puree a Lychee or a Cherry, you're only going to end up with Juice!

👉️ The consistency works! Thick enough to create the layer effect. Thin enough for the customer to stir in easily!
