Quarx Breaks All Too Easily
We bought these as we hoped the Quarx ''unbreakable'' would be protective of the odd jolt travelling in a motorhome.
So far two have broken when even normal glasses might have survived.
One, empty, was knocked off the table, it fell a foot to the cushioned couch and further 18" to a carpeted floor where the stem shattered.
The second, during washing up, was knocked against a pan as it was picked up off the draining board and a chunk came off the rim.
So in our experience, Quarx is no better than standard glass. The only other possibility is, we were sent standard glasses by mistake.
In response, Drinkstuff says:
Drinkstuff says: We're sorry that you've had this experience with these wine glasses Mr Castle. We've been in contact with the manufacturer of these glasses who have recommended that this range is designed with fine rims and bowls and are for fine dining use and are 30% tougher than other fine dining glasses of a similar thickness. For use in a motorhome, a toughened range such as the Princesa, Elisa or Lineal wine glasses would be better for this use.

125ml Wine Glasses
A small wine glass is hard to find - everyone seems to need to drink wine by the bottle full, so I was pleased to find these. They are neat and reasonably priced. One hitch is the very prominently etched 125 mark on the glasses. It was mentioned in the details, and it is a trade website, but it was still a surprise. Nevertheless, the glasses are OK.
