There is no real reason why I’ve decided to make Peach, August's flavour of the month, I just fancied doing something a little different to the traditional tropical fruits or strawberry that most people plump for when the sun comes out to play.
Peach to me is a really underrated flavour.
If you put one of the worlds most favourite cocktails to one side, the Peach Bellini, I think you’d struggle to think of other Cocktails.
However as a fruit it’s delicious. I love my stone fruits; Peaches, Nectarines and Apricots - I just wish we could get a fresh supply of ripe stone fruit all year round.
Luckily, our brilliant suppliers can help us on the drink front. We have 8 peach products on our website from 6 of our favourite Syrup & Puree people.
(1) Monin say “best before 3 months after opening” but we all know syrups rarely go off. They can last a lot longer. However the point to note, Monin are essentially saying is they can’t guarantee the product will taste, look or smell the same after 3 months as it did when you first opened the bottle. So expect anything from very slight deterioration to full deterioration after 3 months of use.
(2) Monin say “best before 4 weeks after opening” but as above, we all know syrups rarely go off. They can last a lot longer. So expect anything from very slight deterioration to full deterioration after 4 weeks of use.
(3) ABM/REÀL say the product is good for 1 month on the shelf after opening. Or, if you keep it in the fridge, it’ll last for 3 months. But we all know syrups rarely go off. (4) While ODK typically don’t disclose “once opened, best before” on their Fruity Mixes, I don’t know of a Food or Drink product that won’t start to deteriorate once opened. So don’t expect the product to look, smell or taste the same 3-6-12 months after you first crack it open! But to give you a ball park, I'm writing this blog in July 2025, the tube I'm looking at was produced in February 2025 and goes out of date in February 2027.
FYI; some cocktail recipes below use Boiron White Peach Puree as it is a zero sugar product. If you are using other Peach Syrups or Purees instead, just remember to balance adjust the Sugar/Citrus in the recipes to compensate.

I love to fun fun riffs on famous cocktails. And with all the products available at Drinkstuff, its super easy to come up with new drinks.
However for the sixth cocktail, my favourite category of Cocktails are Tropical and Tiki. Cocktails that add layers and different flavours. For this Cocktail, I’ve taken the Beach Whacker recipe from Georgi Radev, Laki Kane, London, and riffed it up to create "The Peach Whacker".
