No, there is no compressor inside the beer dispenser. They use thermal-electrics to cool the interior using a Peltier System.
No, there are no compressed gases used in the cooling system of the beer dispenser.
CO2 cartridges will be available from our website soon. CO2 cartridges are not necessary when the Chambrer Draft Beer Dispenser is used with a pressurised keg. We offer the Beer Dispenser with a 5ltr Heineken Keg for quick and easy setup.
The knob should be turned to the 0 position.
The first glass or two from your keg will always be mostly, if not all, head (foam). This condition will worsen the more the keg has been moved around during transport. To minimize this we recommend the keg sit for at least 2 hours prior to tapping. To minimize the head, do not pull the lever down all the way.
Please check to make sure all of your fittings are tight. If you are using a CO2 cartridge it could need to be replaced. If you are using a pressurized keg the CO2 can come loose on the inside of the keg if it was ever transported on its side. This will result in very low pressure. It is still okay to drink; it will just take some time to fill your glass.
They can be purchased at most supermarkets and off-licences. We recommend you call your local store to make sure they have the brand you are looking for in stock.
It all depends on how fast you drink your beer! The longer your beer is in the keg, the more CO2 it will use. A general rule is 1-2 cartridge per keg.
A Pressurised keg (Heineken) comes with a tapping system that connects to the top of the keg. A Non-Pressurised keg has a venting plug on the top and a pouring spout on the side towards the bottom.
Move the tap handle back and forth approximately ten times. Pull it into the open position and then flick the handle backwards to the off position. Sometimes the seal mechanism needs to be worked in to seal properly on a new unit.
