Cheap
"Cheap knife but looks and feels it too."

"On the whole this is quite a nice knife. Very sharp, solidly built and the peeler is perfect for preparing garnishes.
My only criticism, and the reason it's not 5 stars, is that the protruding peeler tool can get in the way when slicing larger fruits (lemons, say). But this is ideal for garnishes and limes."

Versatility with a twist!
"From a few reviews I read initially I was reticent at first from buying this cheaply priced little item but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it does take some practice to get used to it and there are other factors to consider (thickness of the skin on the piece of fruit you're going to use, how steady your hand is and how long a twist you're going to make) when putting it to use but with regular use and practise it doesn't take long to create nice looking garnishes for your cocktails. Its a good idea though once you've a twist created to wrap it round a skewer and freeze it slightly as it helps it hold its shape longer and doesn't unwrap so quickly. All in all though another nice item from www.drinkstuff.com. Oh and sorry about the photo I forgot to put the knife in but the twist was created by it!"

Twist Peeler Bar Knife
"A nice looking bar knife, although I haven't had a chance to use it yet."

Quality Twister!
"I highly recommend this twist peeler knife! I had another type before this to create lemon twists for cocktail garnishes but was struggling to dig into the fruits skin and therefore failing to make complete circles. With this knife it's a doddle and the handle feels nice and smooth in the hand whilst also looking quite professional. Thanks drinkstuff.com!"

Nice Little Knife
"I already have plenty of knives, and a couple of zesters/peelers. But I decided to grab this one, too, partly because I liked the shape, partly because it was really cheap. But man, it's by far the greatest of my twist peelers!! It's true that it requires a bit of technique to create nice-looking twists, but *all* the other ones I have require at least twice the pressure on the fruit, so... that's great! :)"

"This is a fantastic product. It has made cutting twists easier than ever, and is a great size for cutting fruit into sections. Would recommend to anyone."

"The technique is quite difficult to master but I've found it does work with practice. Also I am left handed and the twist peeler is right handed, any chance of a left handed model? It would have made it much easier to use I imagine."
Zak Bulpitt, 21st October '10
Drinkstuff says: Many thanks for your comments Zak. Unfortunately left handed bar tools are very rare. We have passed on your comments to the manufacturer.
Cheap, but not functional
"It does not do the job at all, extremely unhappy with the quality."
Dener Pereira - Scotland, 21st June '10
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments however there seems to be a mixed opinion on the performance of this tool which could come down to technique. Thank you for making us aware. We will submit the product for testing.

"Great little knife comes in handy all the time. Well worth the price."

Twist Peeler Bar Knife
"Great for cutting and slicing fruit. Found creating twists of peel difficult though despite lots of attempts. Will keep trying though and product was a lot cheaper than alternatives."
Karen Pearson - Isle of Man, 26th January '10
"Great service as usual and super fast delivery times. Just a shame i cant say the same about the product. Great idea just very poorly implemented. The knife itself is very small and hard to handle the rinding tool just doesn't work at all. The zesting tool is ok but could be a lot better. Overall slightly disappointed."
Bryan Nash - Watford, 20th August '09
Drinkstuff says: Thank you for your comments Bryan. This is the first comment we've had regarding the quality of the product. As with many bar tools, the technique is sometimes a factor however we feel the product may be slightly overpriced and have therefore reduced the price.
