Mulled blackberry wine takes a fruity twist on classic mulled wine. It’s a popular drink that’s typically served warm during the winter months. In terms of taste, expect bursts of spiced blackberries with a sweet aftertaste.

How To Make Mulled Blackberry Wine

This recipe makes six servings.

Equipment Needed:

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1 bottle of red wine (75cl)
  • 350g blackberries
  • 57g brown sugar
  • 6 cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • A handful of juniper berries
  • 2 oranges
  • 3 cinnamon sticks (2 for taste and 1 for garnish)
  • Extra blackberries (for garnish)
  • Apple slices (for garnish)


  1. Pour the red wine into a saucepan.
  2. Add the blackberries, cloves, star Anise, 2 cinnamon sticks and juniper Berries.
  3. Simmer on a medium heat for about 5-10 minutes. Do not let it boil!
  4. Add the brown sugar and orange slices.
  5. Simmer on a low heat until ready to serve.
  6. Garnish with blackberries, apple slices and a cinnamon
