Mojito Recipe | How To Make A Mojito Cocktail

A mojito is a classic cocktail that’s perfect for parties, BBQs and gatherings. It's time to learn how to make one!

What's In A Mojito?

A mojito is a mix of lime, white rum, fresh mint and sugar, all topped off with soda water for a refreshing drink that evokes holidays and time at the beach in the sunshine.

How To Make A Mojito

Mojitos are easy to make – you just need the right tools for the job! With a muddler and a glass, you can make one of the most delicious and well-known cocktails around.

A muddler is a stick-like tool used by bartenders to extract more flavour out of the ingredients, in a similar way that you would use a pestle and mortar. With a muddler, you can press down on the mint leaves to infuse your lime, rum and soda water with a more refreshing taste.

Equipment Needed

Ingredients Needed

  • 8-10 Mint leaves
  • 25ml lime juice
  • 25ml sugar syrup
  • 50ml white rum
  • Soda water to taste
  • Crushed ice

Method

  1. Add the sugar syrup, mint leaves, crushed ice, rum and mint leaves to a glass
  2. Top up half the glass with soda water
  3. Muddle the ingredients together
  4. Strain the ingredients into a glass with fresh ice
  5. Add a mint leaf on top for a garnish.
